Hate is not a strong enough word for him.
His excuse will be used by a lot of antivaxxers. "Give my shot to someone who needs it" will be their new mantra except like in Bryson's case they simply let shots marked for them expire. Incomprehensible!
Unbelievable playoff going on here. Absolute balls of steel by Cantlay over the past 7 holes making some huge putts. Let's hope he can hang on to win and DeChambeau loses.
This is fun
Suck it Bryson.
Dechambro losing made my night with the Yankees and Giants losing. Congrats to Cantlay. Heck of a post game.
what a read
DeChambeau handed his hat to a gleeful adolescent fan standing at the rope line, then began a furious but silent walk up the steep hill that winds its way toward the Caves Valley clubhouse.
Halfway up the hill, something happened that made me feel like we've arrived at a miserable place in the never-ending circus that is DeChambeau. A patron waited until DeChambeau had walked by, but was not out of earshot, then sneered from over the rope line, "Great job, Brooksie!" DeChambeau spun around in a rage and began briefly walking in his direction.
"You know what? Get the f--- out!" DeChambeau yelled. He had rage in his eyes.
Sergio’s wife is a Karen.
Not that it will ever happen but the Ryder Cup needs to fully dive into the Phoenix Open-esque atmosphere. Yelling, taunting, airhorns...the whole nine yards. A few years ago when Bubba and Poulter let the crowd yell while they were teeing off on to start the match was great (granted they both proceeded to shank their drives).
Hoping it's not over by the first day and is at least competitive into Sunday singles.
rahm/garcia bag the first point of the ryder cup, for europe. spieth with an unbelievable chip that could have extended the match, had thomas made the putt.
americans looking solid in the other three matches, could have a nice lead going into the afternoon.
koepka/spieth vs rahm/garcia and dj/morikawa vs rory/poulter this afternoon
Well if you insist
singles matchups are out for tomorrow:
xander/rory, cantlay/lowry, scheffler/rahm, bryson/sergio, morikawa/hovland, dj/casey, koepka/wiesberger, finau/poulter, justin thomas/hatton, english/westwood, spieth/fleetwood, berger/fitzpatrick
harrington has to send out his best players first to try to build some momentum, and I think stricker anticipated that well with the blind submissions. should be able to get 3 and a half points out of this.
captain's pick scottie scheffler just beat world #1 jon rahm 4 & 3, dominated him from the start. unbelievable.
quality of play today has been incredible from both teams. americans a point and a half away from locking it up.
Happy for Stricker. Always would have liked to seen him get a major.
would keep him for 2023, mickelson should be ready by 2025.
it is with physical discomfort that I admit, goddamn that was an impressive hole of golf.
12 holes....I mean, I get it's in Vegas and boxing and everything but what the ****. But I guess that's less time we have to be subjected to DeChambeau so maybe it's a win.
@Darth_Accipiter It is possible to split admiration for an athlete's performance and their personality but Bryson makes is so darn difficult. Got to give him his due though as he went 2-0-1 and was big part of why the US team just demolished the Europeans.
@Guidman With them no longer feuding (at least not openly) it will most likely be boring as giddyap since neither one has what you call a engaging personality. What has made the match plays fun is having Phil out there since he can be hilarious. Even Tiger made that funny jab about needing a silver medal as a ball marker to Phil.
