I wasn't calling you out, I was genuinely curious. That said, I think "he's advising fans to avoid the trailers" is disingenuous and implies that there are heavy spoilers in them. What he actually said is that he doesn't want the studio to make trailers - and I agree with him at that point. It'd be a pretty bold choice, and the bulk of us would go into the movie knowing as close to nothing as possible.

I'll definitely be following his advice. Again, it was no big deal to go to Rogue One and not see the trailers. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie because the look and tone of the film on its own merits without having expectations that were too detailed or built up.
