We've had some awesome threads, and I just know whoever takes up their place at the head of the new RHS thread Episode 9 will do wonderfully well.

I think I speak on behalf of many of us RHS vets when we say that it'd be great for one of our active and enthusiastic members to take the plunge.

For general guidelines, it just needs to be handmaidenish, fun, and whatever else you see fit. Roleplaying or cameo appearances by the gals are also possibilities. Chocolate being served at the festivities is, however, required. :~) Usually someone volunteers in the old thread (when possible and the old thread hasn't been shot into oblivion), encouragement is given, and we kiss the old thread goodbye. Well, sort of. :~)

I think we're in agreement that the subject-line should read "The Royal Handmaiden Society: Episode 9: Revenge of the Handmaidens".

A copy of the oath that we're swearing on this thread would be good, too, or at least a slightly modified one.

 

And I am game for anything! I do not know much about different threads and the such, but I am excited!

 

It might be a good idea to have a link to the new thread in the final post here. That way, those who have been gone for a while will know where to go. (Maybe this won't be at all necessary, but I thought some people might have this thread bookmarked, and so wouldn't go to community to see the new thread.)

It looks like this may be my final post in this thread, so: Until the Revenge of the Handmaidens.

And it just occured to me that I never have taken the oath. That will have to wait until then.

I also found an article in Australia's Herald Sun that mentions more about her character. This would be a HUGE advancement for a handmaiden not named Keira.

It's on the Royal Handmaiden Society website. At least, that's where I think I got it. You can access it through the past updates page. On the 2/24/05 update, there is a link to a video page, and that's where the wearebrave video is.

I do hope I didn't overexplain that too much.

Looks like Rose might not get the role this time. This article links Thandie Newton to the role. Not a terrible choice, but it still would be great to see Rose as a Bond-girl.

 

Rose would be a good choice, but since she did do well in Troy, maybe she will have more opportunities.

 

Hey so I'm writing a story about Rabe and I need a lot of info on her, do any of you guys have any?

 

There is not much about any of the handmaidens. A lot of it is left to our imaginations. However, Rabé went with Eirtaé, Sabé and Padmé/Queen Amidala when they were going to Coruscant. Later, she joined them in the battle to free Naboo.

Aside from Sabé (and Padmé of course), Rabé is the only other handmaiden of Episode I to speak. When Anakin goes to say goodbye to Padmé she says "I'm sorry, Annie. Padme is not here right now." Then announces to the Queen, "Anakin Skywalker to see Padmé, Your Highness."

The only official information about her is that she is a handmaiden and bodyguard, like the others. However, she is known to be very patient and able to soothe the Queen's nerves. She also is the one that does the elaborate hairstyles for the Queen, even though they can take hours.

So with that, you can do a lot! I look forward to reading this story. There are just not enough handmaiden stories out there.
