here's my research on the Cubs so far...

 

i was actually back and forth between red sox and yankees still this morning. i set up amazing to pick pedro again, and i did want him, but i went this way for a couple reasons. i thought the babe's edge over other position players was greater than pedro's edge over other pitchers, and i really struggled with first base in the last draft for whatever reason so i had to jump at the chance to get the best season by a first baseman. plus, ruth and gehrig in the middle of the order? pretty iconic duo.

I sort of feel like Arlon's team will be a smattering of his favorite player picks which will make an improbable playoff run and we'll have to endure months of Fake Joe Morgan droning on about intangibles...

... or it'll be Red Sox chicken and beer redux...

 

Thinking back to the first draft and how many times a run got walked in, and I think heels actually made the best pick so far with Stanky.
