Like War of the Twins, but The Name of the Wind is the best fantasy novel I've read in years.

    Memories of Ice
Name of the Wind (I'm almost more excited about the sequel to this than Dance with Dragons.)

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien - on principle

Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson - sooooo hard. Anne Bishop is one of my favorite authors, and I love Pillars of the World. However, i also love Warbreaker, and I've been talking about it so much I really can't vote against it :p

Dark Moon Defender by Sharon Shinn - another hard one. Towers is my favorite Recluse book, but Sharon Shinn is my favorite author, and this is my favorite series (book 3)

Mystic and Rider by Sharon Shinn - no contest. First book in my favorite series.

    Not a Sharon Shinn fan.

Lewis vs. Tolkien in a battle of the heavyweights. Prince Caspian is probably top 3 Narnia, but the Hobbit will be read to my kids when they are old enough....and when I actually have children.

EDIT: Has anyone read the Weis/Hickman Dragonlance stuff in the last 5 or even 10 years? I mean, this was epic fantasy when I was a kid, just haven't read it in probably 15 years or so.

    Lewis vs Tolkien, that's tough...

I'll vote for Prince Caspian, it was my favorite book as a kid.

    Abstain on the rest.

    The Hobbit

Abstain on the rest. Although I'm really tempted to vote for Warbreaker, even though I haven't read it yet, because it's by Sanderson...

While I love the Hobbit, I'm going to have to vote for Prince Caspian, which is my favorite Narnia book.
Warbreaker, on the basis of it being Sanderson. I'll be reading it soon!
Towers of the Sunset - though its actually my least favorite Recluce book

Mistborn: The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson - Mistborn, no question :D

1984 by George Orwell - usually I'd vote for Alexander, but I didn't like Taran Wanderer, and 1984 is good.

Summers at Castle Auburn by Sharon Shinn - my favorite book :D

William Goldman vs Resenting the Hero by Moira J. Moore - The Princess Bride is funny, but I love Moore :D

PointGiven, you've read Sharon Shinn? :D

This might have been the easiest one yet. I like Foundation & Empire, and the other 3 are all probably in my top 20 novels of all time.

And obviously Nat I have completely different taste. :p

Dust, you just need to read Sharon Shin :p However, Princess Bride was pretty awesome.

Fellowship of the Ring and The Princess Bride. It's a shame that Mistborn had to go against Tolkien, otherwise I probably would have voted for it.
