    Treehouse of Horror!
    The Simpsons

"The animation trumps the writing in the 19th annual Halloween triptych. It's amusing to see Bart and Lisa's toys turn into Transformers that decimate Springfield, and to watch a Charlie Brown-inspired Grand Pumpkin come to life and (naturally) devour every yellow human in sight. But there's scarily little scripted wit amid the mayhem. The biggest wasted opportunity: when dead celebrities descend from heaven to violently defend their intellectual-property rights. Is a light-in-the-loafers Abe Lincoln patting Homer on the tush really the funniest kicker this premise could offer? Bâ?? â??Chris Willman"

I liked that episode. Good Lisa-centered episodes are rare and that one was a good one.

As Troy McClure once said, the show will continue to exist until it becomes unprofitable. And I don't see that happening anytime soon.

"Flashback episode!! We see Homer and Marge dating and the early years of their marriage. We get to see the couple's first meeting with Flanders, who insists they sleep in separate rooms. Meanwhile, Bart and Lisa reminisce about the happier days of their youth. All the makings of a good RomCom can be found right here."

Not a fan of this episode. I've gotten to the point where I think there are too many episodes written around Lisa. I really think The Simpson's writers fail to understand as they once did what it means to be a kid. In this season there really haven't been any genuine Homer episodes and it's kind of disapointing.

I'm pretty sure this is blasphemy, but tonight's episode has new main titles.

I think thats tehre to right away signify it's a newer sequence- though I'd love it if that got changed to a different flying thing each time (like Frink in the movie).

That was one of the funniest episodes they've had in a very long time. I can't even remember how long it's been since I've laughed that much at an episode of this show.
