70 mph wind gusts that almost blew my tent away with me inside last night determined that was a lie. We ended up day hiking and are now at a hotel 13 miles away across the border with North Carolina, while the winds have been extremely strong all day long.

As a result, we will get home tomorrow afternoon instead of late tomorrow night, and I *may* be able to do a checkpoint tomorrow night. No guarantees.
