Wait why is it updating again today with 3.50? We got that yesterday.

 

They fix stuff fast.

Edit - oh, I see what you mean - patch notes only go up to 3.5.

If you still have the PS4 version saved, the PS5 will try to update it - might be that.

 

So I’m just getting the same thing twice?

 

The PS4 and PS5 versions are deemed separate games, so yes.

 

And they're not done.

 

I keep trying to play this and I can never find my ship whenever I start a new game and I've been too lazy to google anything.

 

I can’t believe people still play the tedious repetitious game. It was a great idea, but flawed execution IMO.

 

It's gotten better but I have other things to play.

I suspect, if you have a longstanding save and a fair bit built up it's probably worth it but the last time I tried a restart it was just heavy going

 

Oh, Frontiers is active? Neat.

Yeah, it's far better than it was but it is fair to say it's easier to enjoy the new stuff with an established save.

Though, starting from scratch has likely gotten better too.

Edit - the amount of stuff added to the game is absurd, just watched the new trailer.

 

Started on Settlements.

First, you can get a settlement that isn't the arse end of nowhere on a craphole planet. It does take a few tries in different systems though.

Had a stranger offering a "hallucenogenic drinks machine, said yes, the settlers are happier!

Just got a landing pad built.

The one flaw is in-game construction time, that's a drag.

The new building parts, especially after unlocking a few more, are very smart too

 

Just recently got into this, only have a few hours in so far but I'm finding the game to be so incredibly relaxing to play and right up my alley aesthetically.

It's enhanced even more if you listen to some Bowie tunes while you're exploring space, to boot!

 

Starting it now would be so much better.

The actual tale it unfurls in NMS is a surprisingly very hard edged bit of SF.

 

Very cool. I'm loving how cryptic its presentation is in the opening hours of the game. Can't wait to keep on digging/exploring and uncovering more along the way.

 

It's one of the things that is rarely talked about with this game.

 

I haven't got around to looking at the Sentinels one!

It's terrible getting all this free content.

I have too many games going on right now to throw myself at something open world to the extent this is

 

Solar sails. Looks nifty. Hell I never was able to buy a single ship the other 4 times I played. Way to expensive and hard to make $.

 

The neat thing is it'll keep.

The best bit of news is ship owning is expanded to 9.

If you go online there are guides on how to find S-class ships. When I used them it was some time ago, not sure if they'll still work.

 

I was planning a revisit tonight as a result of this thread boost but my youngest stole the PS5 and is playing Subnautica and I can't be arsed to play it on my PC
