Tim, let me know what I owe you for the hood stuffs, and if I need to snag anything else before we start putting it together.

Yeah Rhonda, having you and Traci along would have been cool, but then Sal and I couldn't rag Tim about her calling him on the cell phone! "Tell her we love her!"

Costume should look great! Sal sent me some links for boots, so I'll be doing some shopping for them this week. I'm still debating on which saber to get- it's either the blue Anakin or red Vader one...

    Trace, black pants for sure!

Don't worry about the interfacing, Lin. It's really cheap. And you'll get to hate me Friday when I have you sit down and cut out the tunic pattern!!! (Hey! Don't complain! At least you only have to do the tunic pattern and not the tunic, contrast belt, robe, shoulder armor, etc, etc, etc. It takes friggin forever to do all that.) Someday, I hope the sewing fairy will bring me a rotary mat to help with that crap.

Oh, and I'll dig out some black material (which I should have plenty of) to make you a dickey or undershirt to go under the tunic (your choice....it's either a full garment to go under the tunic or the Jedi WonderBra, as I call it.)

Ok, so what's a rotary mat..?

No prob on cutting out that stuff. I'm just glad you have a pattern to go by. Yeah, a wonder-bra is fine. Should it be black like a priest's collar? Man, if I'm not going to hell for other things this push-up priest wonder-bra will do it!

See ya Friday! Let me know if I need o bring lunch or anything else for the costume.

Nah.... I changed my mind. Bring 50 lbs of synthetic fur, some flesh-colored swimsuit material, foam padding, and your stilts. I'm sure we can do that Chewbacca costume after all.

Then again, I wouldn't have time to do Christmas lights this weekend.

A man has to have his priorities!

    Did someone say Christmas lights?

And where are our Christmas icons? They've had Christmas stuff out in at Walmart since September!

And where the heck is my Christmas bonus?

    I do have the stilts...

Hey, I saw two more houses with new lights up. You'd better catch up!

    See ya Friday.

I'll surpass them all with sheer volume!

BTW- Is it wrong to secretly run extension cords to your neighbors' outdoor power outlets?

Cool- I need to order one for me. I may go with the Anakin one. I've always liked the Vader design, but having the 'good guy' blue blade would be cool. Any problems with the sounds/lights?

Oh- forgot to thank Tim for helping me out with my jedi costume- and by 'helping', I mean 'doing'! Had a great time hanging out with the two of you- and dinner was great!

Well, dagnabbit! I was going to order a blue Anakin fx saber from Master replicas but they're sold out! I was going to go ahead and get the Vader one, but when i called they said I wouldn't get the free shipping that I could on-line. So I go to order on-line and at first it said i had no items in my shopping cart, then I tried again and it said I had two! Arrgh...I'm going to try again later...

I looked at ParkSabers, but they're over twice as much! I may order one closer to con to have one that has a removable blade, but until then I'm gonna go with a MR FX one.

Well- I've got a Vader FX saber on the way! Hopefully it'll be here before the RMH Drive-In Night.

Tim, let me know when you want to get together again to work on the jedi costume again. We want to make sure that MY collar fits! Heh, heh...thanks for the help- I really appreciate it!

I told Tim that y'all need to make Sal one of those collars....it can be an SMT thing, LOL.

(OT: Where are the blasted holiday icons?)

Oh, that sounds splendid, Lin. I think Sal needs that special little addition to his costume.

    And the collar, too.

It's here! It's here! My new Vader FX saber is here! I checked the FedEx site today to see what the shipping status was and it was on the truck ready for delivery. A few minutes later I walked past the front office and saw the FedEx van out front and the driver handing it off to my boss. After semi-comvincing him I hadn't ordered porno I got it and proceeded back to my office. It's WAY cool!

The girl I work with said she had to figure out a way to out-geek me. I told her she hadn't seen me in the whole jedi garb yet! Which reminds me, I still need boots...

Well, I'm off to buy batteries-

KEWL!! Speaking of boots, I saw some plain brown and black ladies boots at Wal-Mart for only $5.00. (Not sure how relevant that info is since there are only a few ladies who post in this forum, LOL.)

Well, I guess for the ones who do that's great!

I got batteries for my lightsaber today and fired it up at lunch. We turned the lights off here in the office. Pretty cool. It's making a weird noise, and tends to want to act like someone has struck it, even when I'm holding it still. I'd love for Sal and Tim to look at it before I decide to keep it or send it back to Master Replicas. I've got 45 days.

I still need to send mine back, Lin. I got my RMA info a day or so after I received the lightsaber from MR. I hope I haven't procrastinated myself out of getting it fixed.

I'll start on your costume again this weekend most likely, BTW. I'll probably have a bit more free time very soon.

It says you have 45days to return it. I'll let you guys check mine out before I do.

No rush on the costume. I'd like it before we do the movie at RMH, if not you've got until Ep3 hits!

Hey Tim- after New Years do you want to give Sherri at the RMH a call about Drive-In Movie Night in January, or do you want me to? I know February is going to be nuts for them with all the radiothon events and Oscar Night coming up. BTW- that may be something the SMT may could get involved with. They usually have a book fair with the Wake-Up Crew and costumed characters for the kids. I usually do face painting at them. Someting else to ask about.

Do you mind handling the Radiothon stuff for me, Lin? I, personally, would love to get involved with the Radiothon, and would love to see the SMT as part of it. (We need to get our name out there. Got a new film coming up in only 17 months!)

I'll try getting in touch with Sherri again after New Year's Day. We may have to postpone things until March, but that would at least give us a chance to get the guys at the 501st and Rebel Legion involved.

Tim: Just wanted to thank you for all the work you've been putting into helping me become a well-dressed jedi! The costume is looking great, and I can't wait to geek-out in it at MSC!

Had a great time working on it, watching movies, and hanging out with you, Trace, and Rhonda. Thanks for having me over. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you guys when you're working on yours.

Lin: I'm almost finished with your robe. I ended up popping a few seams to fix a few things that were bothering me. But, I did attach some seam covers at the hood and shoulders that really dress it up and make it look better. After I get the new seams in, we'll just have to do the final fitting and alterations and make the belt and shin guards.

Rhonda: Got your links about the Padme costume. I really don't like the way they did the gauntlets. They're too soft looking to me. I wan't to line your's with something that will make them more armor-like. I was thinking about using plastic cross-stitch sheets (the ones with small holes) as a frame, adding the piping on top of that, then upholstering it in the vinyl, which I still have to find. I'll figure it out, somehow.
