***The Speedwriters Association*** challenge 9 up, due 9/22, speedchallenge up 9/23

It depends on the vig. If I've already got it fleshed out in my mind: an hour, hour and a half, two hours. If the bunny comes to me as I write, such as when I'm doiing a challenge, it might take me longer. I could maybe write faster if my family wasn't so bloody crazy.

Usually when I get a vig plot bunny, I'll write it as soon as possible. A longer fic bunny I could stew on for months as I finish up other WIP's so I won't get too bogged down.

 

I have found that my bunnies come in 3 catigories(sp)...

1) very bouncy, must type NOW
2) evil bunnies, type at whatever pace, but they mutate into something difforant as I type...
3) supposedly tame bunnies, bunnies that can be written at any time, but grow much, much, bigger, and spawn little baby bunnies that flounce thru the mind...

Some bunnies I give into within moments... some have been bouncing around my head for over a year...still haven't written them though...

2nd Challenge
Obi-Wan Kenobi, meet Luke Skywalker: write a situation (pre-ANH) where Obi-Wan (Ben) has to get young Luke out of a sticky situation. Must at least mention a pod-racer.

OR

OC meet Ben Skywalker: write a situation where an OC and Ben are in a sticky situation. Whether both of them get out of that situation alive is up to you. Must at least mention the Millennium Falcon.

Hmmm... I haven't participated in this challenge yet, but I'll get around to doing so eventually.

As for the discussion, I tend to write fairly slowly. A vig or a chapter of a longer fic sometimes takes me ages.., it depends on whether the plot bunnies are multiplying and I just have to write. Mostly I write really slowly because I write things out by hand, and then I time it up, and then I go back and re-write it and start changing things and it takes me forever to come to the version that I post. Lol.

As for plot bunnies... eeeek!

1) Bunnies that multiply and have sub-plot bunnies and therefore encourage me to write as fast as my hand can write or type!
2) Bunnies that bite and then hang on forever, waiting for me to come back to them
3) Bunnies that bite once, hop away and then come back occasionnally to visit.

ooh yeah i have competition!!!!!!!! friendly of course...and i know exactly what you mean about not being able to use 'from'...

i mean thats a preposition and a very important word...i can't count the times i got frustrated writing mine and had to change the words...i keep going back and checking it to make sure i didn't miss any! i would be like that...i'm very bad at catching words that i shouldn't use!

and i'm happy i'm doing them too! i love the short deadlines especially the one day challenges...it basically 'makes' me sit down and write!

Urg. That 'from' was a killer. I almost went in 'AutoCorrect' and made it change 'from' to 'NOOOO!!!!'. But I didn't. I'm still not sure whether mine has 'from' in it or not...

 

lol...i would have had 'NOOOOOO' all across my fic!!!!!!

VACATIONS! Yep, that's the challenge.

Obi-Wan and Anakin on vacation. Can be funny, angsty, or whatever you want. The one rule is that they can't be vacationing on Coruscant. You have to make up your own planet.

Jacen and Ben on vacation. Can be funny, angsty, or whatever you want. They have to be vacationing on a planet of your own fabrication. Oh yeah, one other rule: Have fun!
