Star Wars Episode X: The Final Battle (Part 2 of 2) FINALE

Thrawn stands on the bridge of a Star Destroyer, the masked “Darth Mortak” at his side. The two look out at the massive Imperial Fleet that’s assembled over the world.


Thrawn sends a fleet-wide broadcast. He is uncharacteristically emotive with his speech, showing real passion.



“The time has come for the full territory of the Empire of old to be restored. Today, is our day of glory. With our new superweapons, we will be unstoppable. Today the fledgling New Republic will be broken, and the era of order and stability under Imperial rule will begin

All the troopers, and fighter pilots gathered in the main hangar bays, watching the holographic display of Thrawn let out a cheer.


“We will wait for them on the edge of the neutral zone. The fools are making no effort to hide their ungainly fleet’s position. We know where they’re headed. We will wait for them, and kill every single one of them.

They think the disorganized, unstable horde of ships they’re sending our way can defeat us. We will show them Imperial tactics. We will show them military precision. We will not let ONE ship escape destruction! For the Empire!”

The troops cheer again, as Thrawn’s fleet jumps to lightspeed




MEANWHILE:

In hyperspace aboard Thrawn’s personal shuttle, Rakkan and Aliisa sit in the pilot and co-pilot’s seats.Rakkan is concerned about Aliisa’s injuries but she tells him she doesn’t think it’s anything serious, she just feels weak.




Rakkan then tells her he was working for Thrawn, because Thrawn allowed him to use the dark side, along with offering him everything he wanted, power, money and respect. Thrawn told him what he was doing was good, but the more Rakkan used the darkside, the more angry and alone he felt. And that the one thing that kept him from fully embracing the darkside, was her. They look at each other for a moment and then kiss.

Warning beeps on the ships console interrupt and tell them they are entering Coruscant’s airspace. Aliisa flies the ship back down to Leia’s landing pad, and finds it abuzz with activity.

Rakkan and Aliisa walk down the ramp holding hands, and walk towards the doors, as Jake and Versa come out to see who it is. When they see it’s Rakkan, their hands go to their lightsaber hilts, but when they then see him holding hands with Aliisa, they relax.

Both start to smile and they run over and hug Rakkan. They agree they all have a lot to tell one another, but Versa says there’s no time. The communication devices from Tardev Shen’s secret communication room are being analyzed by dozens of technicians.

One of them shouts “I’ve got it!” and Leia, Jake, Versa, Rakkan and Aliisa run over to the screen where text is being displayed.

As everyone crowds around the monitor, they see all the holographic communications between Thrawn and Tardev.

MEANWHILE:

Aboard “The Liberator” New Republic Admiral Davic Trelton signals all ships, traveling with him in hyperspace, that an enemy fleet has been spotted near the asteroid belt on the border of Thrawn’s territory.

He tells them to drop out of lightspeed and form up for battle formations on the other side of the asteroid belt.

They do, and soon two extremely large fleets face one another over the asteroid belt.







The New Republic’s is clearly larger, made up of all kinds of different ships, while Thrawn’s consists of mostly uniform Star Destroyers, his capital ship being about twice as large as a regular Star Destroyer and a slightly different design.

In the standoff, Thrawn sends a message fleet-wide.

“Attention all New Republic ships. You don’t realize it yet, but this battle has already been won, thanks to a new laser my scientists have created. You cannot win, but every ship that lowers their shields and does not attack, will be spared. I have no wish to destroy the ships or lives that can simply just join us.”

Davic Trelton responds from “The Liberator” also broadcasting fleet-wide. “Your bluff isn’t going to work Thrawn. You’re outnumbered and outgunned. Give it up. You can’t win here.”

Thrawn responds “Outnumbered? Yes. But not outgunned. Every single one of my Star Destroyers is now equipped with a shield-powered laser. Against an unshielded ship’s hull, these lasers are useless, weaker than even a hand-held blaster.

But these are designed to pass straight through any shield, drawing energy from the shield itself. The stronger the shield, the stronger the blast. Your ship, Admiral, is especially vulnerable. No matter how powerful your shields are, they only make our lasers stronger. I can destroy any ship in your fleet with a single shot. Even yours.

Admiral Davic laughs, “Nice try Thrawn. You really expect us to drop our shields on your word about what your supposed new weapon can do?”

Thrawn smiles. “Not at all Admiral. I can demonstrate, on ship after ship, until you believe me. Starting with yours.”

Suddenly a bright yellow beam is fired from Thrawn’s capital ship into the fully-shielded Liberator. After only a moment, the Liberator explodes, shorn completely in half.

The New Republic captains and pilots all stare in disbelief as The Liberator’s shattered halves slowly drift apart.

Admiral Thrawn’s voice is broadcast once again. “How many ships will it take before you believe me? Drop your shields and surrender!” As another yellow blast from another Star Destroyer completely obliterates another large New Republic Ship.




The New Republic’s forces are thrown into chaos, with most commanders telling their fleets to drop their shields to avoid being incinerated in one shot, but continue to fight.

Admiral Solo says without their shields, no ships will last long in a fight against a fully shielded opponent, and another general says it’s better than being able to be destroyed in one shot, by the new super weapons.

Another commander says escape is impossible, with the lightspeed dampening fields, that they’ve got to fight to the end. Thrawn’s forces start to take control of the battle.

Much of the battling is done with ships that are in between the huge exploding halves of “The Liberator” which makes a really cool backdrop for a space battle.

MEANWHILE:

On Coruscant, everyone is watching Thrawn and Tardev’s communications. Thrawn is talking to Tardev “Make sure the bombs are hidden along the spine of each ship, to ensure they are completely blown apart when triggered. They must all be on the same timer, every bomb needs to explode at the same time, the instant the laser touches the shield.

If this doesn’t look flawless, if they don’t believe the laser is really destroying their ships, all hope is lost. We need perfect timing. Not ONE of your staff can be caught while hiding the bombs on board. Make sure EVERY hidden compartment on the food serving trays remains undetectable by scanners.

Even if this works perfectly, we will only have 6 capital ships rigged with remote explosives. The rest of plan hinges entirely on the bombs exploding perfectly, so make sure they are not damaged when they are placed. I am sending you a few more crates of them soon. Make sure “The Liberator” is especially loaded, the loss of their capital ship will demoralize them the most.

The hologram of Tardev bows his head “Yes, my lord.” The holographic recording ends.

Leia turns to look at Jake and Versa. “Not only can Thrawn destroy our capital ship, but he’s going to fool everyone else into thinking he can destroy them whenever he wants to. He’s going to trick the whole fleet into lowering their shields.”

Versa says “We’ve got to warn them! Contact them right away!”

Leia sadly shakes her head. “Military procedure demands that ships turn off long range transponders during military operations, so they can’t be detected by the enemy. And worse than that, I don’t even know where they’re going, so I can’t send a ship to warn them.”

Rakkan steps up. “I know where they’ll be. Thrawn doesn’t know that I know, but I saw him planning a large scale battle near the Hessan system. I didn’t know who the battle was against, but I knew it would be there.”

Aliisa steps up behind Rakkan. “And we just stole Thrawn’s personal ship, one of the fastest in the galaxy!

Jake, Versa, Aliisa and Rakkan all turn and run towards the ship. Leia calls out to them, to remember to keep their own long range transponder on, so they can communicate.

MEANWHILE:




The battle rages on. The New Republic is taking heavy losses, but they are still managing to destroy a few Star Destroyers by focusing their fire.

Thrawn is deploying his tactics and destroying lots of new republic capital ships.

Luke and Rogue Squadron are fighting through hordes of enemy fighters, but even some rogue squadron members are getting killed.

One of the New Republic Twi-lik captains says, “Remember the plan, we can still destroy Thrawn’s flagship! Shuttles into position!”

The Rodian ships absorb the incoming fire for the Twi-leks, and they drain Thrawn's flagship shields, just like they planned.

The cloaked Fal’leen ships then appear nearby, and they boar into the sides of Thrawn’s flagship.

Once inside, about a dozen Jedi run out and spread through the ship, killing all the troops inside.

When they get to the bridge, they kill the commanding officer and bridge crew as they try to shoot back, but Thrawn isn’t there.

One of the Jedi masters signals Luke and tells him Thrawn isn’t there.

Luke is busy flying but manages to say Thrawn must have known they would try to invade his flagship, so he would be on an unmarked Star Destroyer, away from the battle. He tells them they should leave.

Thrawn’s flagship suddenly explodes, killing all the Jedi inside, and as the camera pans back from the explosion, you see Thrawn standing on the bridge of another Star Destroyer, holding the detonator in his hands.






MEANWHILE:

Out of hyperspace, Thrawn’s personal ship with Jake, Versa, Rakkan and Aliisa on board emerges into the battle.

They immediately begin broadcasting to all New Republic ships.

“Thrawn’s supposed superweapons are a lie! He cannot shoot through your shields, he can only destroy the ships he’s remotely planted bombs on!

Capital ships ‘The Liberator’, ‘Infinity,’ ‘Water’s Edge’ ‘Arm of the Grogans’ ‘Yulno’ and ‘Freedom’s Defender’, immediately move away from the battle, and scan your ships for neuron particle bombs. Any trace of distortion in the scanner is not an error, it’s the cloak the bombs are using. They tend to be planted along the upper spine of your ship!”

Immediately most of the New Republic commanders give the command to all pilots to raise shields, but a few think it’s a trick and keep their shields down.

The New Republic Forces start to do much better now that they’re shielded again.

Luke contacts their ship, and says they’ve got to find the ship Thrawn is on. Versa scans the battlefield and sees a ship slightly above the rest of the battle. She knows through the force that it’s the one Thrawn is on.

Luke says most of the Twi-lik ships have been destroyed, they can’t lower the shields this time. Jake responds that this is Thrawn’s personal shuttle, so it’s likely that Thrawn’s Star Destroyer will automatically recognize the ship and let them in.

They race towards the ship, and Admiral Han Solo’s capital ship pulls up in front of them, headed towards Thrawn, so that his ship is absorbing all the fire. Solo orders the whole crew to evacuate in shuttles out the back hangar, because this ship can’t take much more.

It absorbs enough damage that Jake and Versa’s ship manages to get close enough to Thrawn, and sure enough, the shields automatically drop for a moment, and the docking bay doors automatically open for them.

As they pull in, Solo’s captial ship is starting to explode. Everyone else is gone, so he and Chewy run down to the hangar and get inside the parked Millennium Falcon, flying out the hangar just as the ship explodes.

Inside the Star Destroyer, Aliisa lands the shuttle, and Jake and Versa charge out, killing all the stormtroopers and pilots that shoot at them. Rakkan and Aliisa follow with blasters.

To their surprise, as they reach the doors towards the next area of the ship, Thrawn himself appears, with several dozen more Stormtroopers, and his personal guards, and the Darth Mortak impersonator.

Thrawn, Mortak and his guards stay within the hallway behind the open doors, but all the stormtroopers go in front.




As the troops open fire, Jake and Versa are blocking as best they can, but it’s a lot to manage. Thrawn himself pulls a sidearm and aims, shooting at a railing over Versa’s head. It falls and hits her, knocking her off balance for a moment. While she regains her footing, Thrawn fires again, this hitting Versa in the chest. She goes down.

Jake screams NO and continues to furiously block, trying to walk towards Thrawn but the blaster fire is just too heavy.

Suddenly Rakkan picks up a parked Tie Fighter with the force, and hurls the whole thing towards the stormtroopers.

It completely obliterates all the stormtroopers, and blocks the hallway. Thrawn, Mortak and all his guards are on the other side of the wreckage, inside the hallway unharmed, but unable to advance towards them.

Rakkan runs over to Jake, who is kneeling down at Versa’s side, murmuring no, no no. Rakkan puts a hand on Jake’s shoulder but Jake suddenly stands up, roaring angrily.

He storms towards the blocked hallway, lightsaber in hand and murder in his eyes. The iris’s are starting to turn yellow.

Rakkan suddenly shouts “Stop! I know what you’re feeling Jake. I know the pull to the darkside. You think you can use it for revenge. You think if you can make them pay, you can find peace.

But you can’t. It doesn’t work like that. Even if you succeed, you’ll only feel more empty. And she would NOT want that!

Jake stops, turns and looks sad and defeated.

Rakkan says “Stay in the light Jake. Don’t give in. That’s what she would have wanted.”

Jake turns wordlessly, picks up Versa’s limp form and carries her back into the ship. Rakkan stoops and picks up Versa’s lightsaber hilt, that was lying on the ground.

He looks at Aliisa and tells her he needs to deactivate the shields on Thrawn’s Star Destroyer so it can be destroyed. He tells her to stay with Jake, then Rakkan sprints off down another hallway.

MEANWHILE:

Thrawn and his guards enter the bridge of the star destroyer, and tell the men to move his ship out of range of the lightspeed dampening fields. Now that the New Republic knows which ship he’s on, they will focus fire on him, and he’s no good to the Imperial forces dead.

Thrawn gives the order to return to his base planet. The engines fire and start moving away from the battle.

MEANWHILE:

Luke Skywalker and several Rogue Squadron members are racing towards the Star Destroyer, dodging the turbo laser fire and shooting down it’s tie fighter guards.

MEANWHILE:

Rakkan enters the shield generator room and throws his lightsaber into the generator, destroying it, and knocking out the Star Destroyer’s shields. Without his weapon, the stormtroopers start shooting at him, but Rakkan is thinking back to his training under Luke, a long time ago. The training he had previously rejected.

Luke is telling him you aren’t supposed to harness the force, you flow with it. Only when you are at peace can your body react fluidly to the whisperings of the force.

When the soldiers shoot at Rakkan, his eyes are closed, and he’s dodging the blasts, using hand movements to direct the blaster bolts fired at him the ones who fired them.

MEANWHILE:

Jake and Aliisa are standing in their ship, looking at Versa lying on a cot. Jake says her light hasn’t gone out yet, she might still survive if she gets medical attention soon. Aliisa says she’ll fly back out and get Versa to a hospital, but Jake wants to stay to try to stop Thrawn. He runs out of the ship and down a hallway towards the bridge.

Aliisa starts powering up the engines.

MEANWHILE:

Thrawn’s pilot tells Thrawn they are clear of the lightspeed dampening field. Thrawn tells him to make the jump to lightspeed.

Just before they do, Luke’s Xwing flies into the hangar bay and slides across the floor, before coming to a stop. Then the Star Destroyer goes to lightspeed.

Thrawn looks at his guards and Mortak. “There’s a few Jedi on this ship. It’s time for you all to put your training to use. Come with me.”

They all exit the bridge.

MEANWHILE:

Rakkan and Jake meet up as Rakkan is coming back out of the shield generator room, both of them are holding blue lightsabers.

They run down the hallway together and enter a room that serves as Thrawn’s throne room, when he’s not in his fortress.

Thrawn and his men are entering from the other end of the room. This room is massive, and is large enough to hold up to 4 thousand troops standing at attention, with Thrawns throne above it all. Thrawn himself however, is on the ground with his guards and Mortak. When they see the two Jedi, they all roar and charge.

Rakkan looks at Jake. “There is no passion, there is peace.” Jake nods, and they both wait as the guards and Mortak approach.

MEANWHILE:

In the hangar bay, Aliisa is coming out of her ship, just as Luke is getting out of his X-wing. Luke asks her what happened, and Aliisa tells him that Versa is badly wounded, and Jake and Rakkan went to stop Thrawn.

She says she wants to get Versa medical attention but she can’t leave while the ship is in lightspeed.

Luke puts a hand on her shoulder and says there should be some emergency medical supplies in her ship, and she should take care of Versa as best she can. Then he heads off in the direction Jake went.

MEANWHILE:




The battle between Imperials and New Republic forces is raging on. Here would be really cool shots of capital ships cutting chunks out of one another with beam lasers and powerful turbo lasers. The different species of the New Republic fleet start to use their strengths to help one another (like the weaker ships with stronger weapons take cover behind the studier ships with weaker weapons, some ships project their shields onto other ships nearby to help them, other ships that are better suited to draining shields fire first and then retreat, before ships better at destroying unshielded ships arrive)

The Imperials are someone disorganized without Thrawn, and though they fight on in strict imperial fashion, their tactics start to become predictable without Thrawn there to guide them. They are also confused by the huge array of battle tactics from all kinds of alien armies, while they all mostly use the same kind of tactics.

MEANWHILE:

The guards reach Jake and Rakkan and an amazing fight scene takes place.




There are 9 guards and Mortak, who is really just another guard with a lightsaber, so 10 enemies in all.

Each guard is heavily armored, but uses different weapons and styles of fighting, like electrified chain whip, a guard with a jetpack and two heavy blaster guns, and all kinds of stuff.

During the fight, Jake and Rakkan manage to kill one guard each, but are steadily giving ground and have taken a few cuts and blows.

Suddenly, Rakkan’s arm holding his lightsaber is trapped by the electrified chain whip which has wrapped around it. While the guard holds him in place, Mortak is about to deliver a killing blow and Jake sees this. Jake thrusts out desperately with the force and knocks Mortak, Rakkan, and the guard with the chain whip THROUGH the nearest wall.

They fall through the wall, over a railing in the next room, and down onto a large walkway. Beneath them, are the huge inner workings of the engines. Turbines and shafts and fire spurts everywhere.

On this walkway is Rakkan, Mortak and the chain whip guard. They all get up and continue fighting.




Rakkan is facing the masked former version of himself, lightsaber and all.




Though this “Mortak” doesn’t have the force, he is a VERY skilled duelist, and has the added help of the other chain whip guard helping him fight. The guards are also very fast of their feet and can sometimes even doge Rakkans force pushes.

After a very close, intense fight, Rakkan kills the chain whip guard, then fights Mortak back to the edge of the walkway, before stabbing him cleanly through. Mortak stands straight for a moment, before toppling over the ledge into the sea of gears far below.

Rakkan watches him fall, it’s like he’s watching his old self die too.

MEANWHILE:

In the throne Room Jake is on his own versus 5 skilled guards, and Thrawn himself. While Jake is just barely staying alive during the guard’s onslaught, Thrawn has casually walked up to his throne, lifted one of the armrests and pulled out a massive gun.

He aims it at Jake, and suddenly the door to his throne room blasts open, flies across the room and squashes one of the guards against the far wall.

Thrawn turns to see Luke Skywalker enter, and throw his green lightsaber across the room, decapitating another guard.

Jake catches Luke's lightsaber, and now with two lightsabers in his hands, begins to beat back and kill the other 3 guards.

Thrawn fires chaingun like shots at Luke, who now doesn’t have his lightsaber. Luke puts up a hand and absorbes all the fire, like Vader catching Han’s blastershots, but on a greater scale.

Luke continues to catch the stream for several seconds, then sends a blast of force energy back up the stream of bolts and Thrawns gun explodes in his hand, knocking him off his throne and against the far wall of the room.

Thrawn turns and runs out the back door of the room, while Luke catches his lightsaber that Jake threw back at him, and force sprints after him. Thrawn manages to shut and seal the doors behind him just before Luke arrives, forcing Luke to slow down and cut through the doors.

Jake finishes off the last of the bodyguards, just as Rakkan jumps back through the hole into the throne room. They nod at each other, and then run towards Luke, who has just cut through the doors.

MEANWHILE:

On the Star Destroyer bridge, Thrawn runs in and orders the emergency doors be shut and sealed behind him. The star destroyer had just come out of lightspeed and was headed towards Thrawn’s fortress. Thrawn tells them to head for the fortress at the maximum possible speed.

When the fortress operators asks who’s approaching at such a high speed, and it isn’t safe, they send the identification number of Thrawn’s ship, and the operator says right away sir, sorry to question you.

MEANWHILE:

Luke, Jake and Rakkan get to the bridge doors, and begin to cut through them with their lightsabers. When they slash through the emergency doors, the way to the bridge seems clear, but then Thrawn says “Activate ray shields,” and more shields appear, blocking the way into the hallway.

Thrawn looks at them smugly. “You cannot cut through ray shields. And when we land at my fortress in a few minutes, there will be so many waiting for you, that not even an army of Jedi could survive. You’ve lost.”

Luke doesn’t say anything, but looks intensely at someone at the controls of the destroyer, and makes a small motion with his hand. The pilot shudders for a moment and looks confused, before regaining his senses and continuing to handle the controls.Thrawn doesn’t notice, because Jake and Rakkan are both attacking the ray shields with their lightsabers, trying and failing to penetrate them. Thrawn laughs at them.

Rakkan turns to Luke and says “Maybe we can cut through the floor”

Luke shakes his head and says “Come with me.” Jake and Rakkan both look flabbergasted.

“What? We can’t give up now! He’s right there! We can end this war right now if we find a way!”

Luke says “The Force will provide a way. But right now I need you to trust me. Come with me. Now”

Jake and Rakkan look at each other for a second, then head towards Luke. All three run back the way they came.

They reach the hangar, and run inside the ship. Aliisa is standing over Versa, applying medicine to her. When they enter, Luke never takes his eyes off Versa, but tells Aliisa to prepare to exit the moving ship.

As they take off and fly out the hangar, Luke has his eyes closes, holding his hands over Versa’s wound. He suddenly stops, and looks out the viewport towards the Star Destroyer. He makes the same motion with his hand that he did before.

Inside the Star Destroyer, the pilot goes stiff and glassy eyed.Thrawn is standing, deep in thought, and only notices the rapidly approaching fortress as it looms far too close.“Pilot, what are you doing? Pull up! Slow down!”The pilot doesn’t react. The fortress is very close now.Thrawn and several other crewmembers run over to try to push the pilot out of the chair but he has a death grip on the controls and wont budge.

Finally, they manage to get him out of the chair, and as the pilot hits the ground, he suddenly snaps out of it, and looks around, dazed and confused.

Thrawn attempts to pull the Star Destroyer up but it’s far too late.He closes his eyes.





The Star Destroyer plunges into Thrawn’s fortress at top speed, creating a massive explosion and shockwave that Luke and everyone can see from space as they rocket away from the planet. They go to lightspeed.

MEANWHILE:

The New Republic forces are putting the final blows into winning the battle. Many Star Destroyers are escaping the battle area and going to lightspeed, a few are surrendering, but most are exploding or in the process of exploding..

The New Republic has taken very heavy losses as well, but Thrawn’s fleet has been almost completely obliterated.

As Luke, Aliisa, Rakkan, Jake and Versa’s ship comes out of hyperspace to rejoin the remains of the New Republic fleet, Admiral Han Solo broadcasts from the Millennium Falcon that the battle is won. The pilots in fighters and captians in their capital ships all let out a cheer.

Aliisa cheers too, but then realizes she’s the only one in the ship who’s made a sound. She looks behind her and grows somber as she sees Luke, Rakkan and Jake all standing around Versa, holding their hands over her wound and concentrating. Luke is whispering “Stay with me…stay with me.”

Versa’s eyes slowly open and she lets out of weak smile. “I’m not going anywhere dad” she says in a very soft voice.

Luke smiles through his tears and lets out a relieved gasp.

EPILOGUE




A HUGE celebration on Coruscant is underway.






Leia, Han, Luke and Chewbacca all hug and laugh.


Jake is helping Versa step down, Rakkan and Aliisa kiss under all the confetti, and shots of the planets that had been invaded by Thrawn are shown with the people cheering, and Star Destroyers and other imperial ships are show fleeing the cities, being chased by New Republic cruisers.



EPISODE 10 SUPER SHORT SUMMARY

Rakkan decides to rescue Aliisa from imprisonment and go back to the New Republic and his friends, and to leave this life and the dark side behind. He stabs the Sith holocron and destroys it.

Thrawn and his bodyguards attempt to stop him from leaving, but he and Aliisa escape on Thrawn’s own personal shuttle.

In the meantime Leia, Versa and Jake discover Tardev Shen is the traitor, and kill him and take his communication equipment.

The New Republic has assembled a fleet at this point and head towards Thrawn’s territory. Thrawn has assembled his own fleet and heads towards the New Republic fleet.

When they meet, Thrawn claims his new weapons draw on the energy of activated shields to completely destroy a ship. To demonstrate, he shoots and destroys the Super Star Destroyer “The Liberator” which is the capital ship of the New Republic.

Back on Corescaunt, they decode Tardev’s communications, and find out he planted bombs on a couple of capital ships, so Thrawn is only making it LOOK like he can shoot through shields, in order to trick the whole fleet into fighting with their shields down.

Jake, Versa, Rakkan and Aliisa leave on Thrawn’s personal ship (which they arrived on) to go tell the New Republic forces.

Thrawn is easily winning the battle at first, but when they arrive, most of the New Republic captains believe their message that Thrawn's "super weapon" is fake, and raise their shields again, which puts the two fleets on even footing.

Versa figures out which ship Thrawn is on, and she, Jake, Rakkan and Aliisa manage to board.

In the battle inside, Thrawn shoots Versa and she looks like she may be dead.

Jake almost turns to the dark side as a result, but Rakkan manages to convince him that the dark side is not what Versa would have wanted, and keeps Jake in the light.

Rakkan then manages to destroy the shield generators of the ship, letting Luke’s X-wing board just before Thrawn’s ship goes into lightspeed, headed back for his base.

A huge battle in Thrawn’s throne room leaves all his special forces guards dead.

Thrawn retreats to the bridge, and when Jake, Rakkan and Luke cut through the doors, Thrawn activates ray shields to stop them. Luke then subtly penetrates the mind of the pilot flying the ship, planting a kind of seed.

Then Luke leaves with everyone. When they are out of the ship, Luke activates the seed he planted in the pilot’s mind, causing him to freeze up. This causes Thrawn’s Star Destroyer to crash into his fortress and destroy everything.

When they rejoin the fleet, they see that the New Republic forces are victorious over the rest of the Imperials.

The movie ends with a big celebration of Coruscant, and Versa is seen wounded but alive and recovering, and the worlds that Thrawn once occupied are being freed from Imperial forces too.
