Fan channels can handle the news. An official Star Wars News show was always a big middle finger to fan channels everywhere who have better personalities and larger followings than Andi Gutierrez and Anthony Carboni. Keep them around to host official Star Wars events like premiers and Celebrations, and for those 1-on-1 interviews and round tables. The fan channels might be great, but they don't have the influence to attract celebrities that Disney does, or the access to the LFL archives.

It's 19 minutes is that going to be the standard length now? I actually though 10 minutes was as bite sized as I would want.

Guessing 20 minutes is the new monthly length and the weekly news show will just be about 5.

Gonna miss having the show weekly. Sure they never really broke news and obviously can't cover rumours like the fan stuff can, but it was nice having a short 10 minute show each week with all the interviews and BTS stuff. I'm sure the fan stuff is great but most are half an hour or an hour, sometimes more and I just don't have the time for that, the length of this was perfect for me. Hope they still have Andi and Anthony for Celebration.

i haven't seen the new Star Wars Show yet but the news in Star Wars popped up which makes me assume that the longer version will be monthly and the week in star wars news will be the weekly news fix which was always at the top. Okay I can deal with 20 minute episodes of Star Wars Show if it's monthly now. I would assume around the release of a Star War movie or show they might have more than once a month. (Bit of a downer that Andi and Anthony weren't hosting the weekly show. Also? I kept reading the ticker at the bottom of news show - which frankly does take away from the main information - and it was basically just birthdays however the final ticker time was kinda cool, 1986 Empire Strikes Back premires on cable)
