Awards THE SUMMER 2005 BEFORE THE SAGA FANFICTION AWARDS

Shane paces in front of a door, looking more irritated by the minute. Finally, he stops and knocks loudly, "Qui-Gon, what the Sith are you doing in there? I need to do updates you know!"

"Go away!" A panicked voice shouts. Frantic rustling through flimsiplasts is heard. "I've lost the awards envelope," he says in a panicked voice.

Shane sighs, and opens the door, only to duck as some random object is thrown his way. Standing straight, he steps in, "You lost what?" he asks, blinking. (Of course, Shane is naturally unconcerned by human standards, and thus knows nothing about such things.)

"The Fanfiction awards envelope! Lt_Jaina Solo and RK_Striker_JK_5 gave it to me for safekeeping -- and I can't find it!"

Still looking confused, Shane doesn't dare come closer to the gigantic mess Qui-gon is making. He is mildly dismayed to note that the datapad is no where to be seen in the pile.... "Destroying the place isn't helping things. Where did you see it last?"

Qui-Gon runs a hand through his padawan hair cut. "Next to Master Dooku's razor in the fresher......"

A few seconds of thinking, then Shane brightens, "Oh, so that was what Dooku was mumbling about..."

Shane shrugs, "Well, if he hasn't tossed it out, Dooku should still have it..."

Qui-Gon abandons his search in the study and heads immediately for the fresher waste disposal unit and begins digging through the various flimsiplasts and other shredded objects. At last he comes across his precious envelope which is no longer recognizable. He wails in despair. "Now what am I going to do?"

Obi-Wan sneaks in. (How he got there, no one needs to know.) Whispers to the audience, "Thankfully the hostess has another copy."

Qui-Gon frowns at the young man. "What are you doing here? You're not supposed to even be born yet."

Obi-wan smirks, "Well, I have to save my dear Master, even in the past," flashes cute smile at the audience, "And I'll be going. Right after this." He walks over to Qui-gon, and playfully tugs his braid, "Call it pay back."

Qui-Gon batted his hand away. "Leave that alone. This doesn't solve my problems. I was supposed to do entertainment! All my ideas are lost!"

"Well, looks like I need to stick around then. Force knows you're helpless without a plan," Obi-Wan taps a finger to his lips, thinking, "Well, last year on some other forum, this one person... Jemmiah I think, really sweet girl, seriously, held this auction..."

"Auction? I have nothing to auction -- I'm a Jedi. We don't own anything, except our custom made clothes."

"Well... If the rumors are true, we could just auction off Jedi. There seem to be a lot willing to dish a few credits for us," Obi-wan shrugs, "Or we could just auction off our clothes... Though, you were always too modest for your own good."

Qui-Gon eyes him. "Good idea. Lot Number One, one annoying padawan learner..."

"Hey! I'm not even your apprentice yet!" Obi-Wan rebutes, pouting.

"Then make yourself useful and read the list of nominees," Qui-Gon smirks.

Kynstar strolls in wearing red evening dress with a full skirt, golden lace sash, necklace with several strings of silver and golden beads hanging from it.

Jedi Master Dooku lightly holds onto her left arm, escorting her in wearing his best tunics. Dark brown robe, tan tunic, dark brown pants tucked into black knee high boots. His long dark brown hair flowing around his shoulders, except his bangs being tied back with a leather strap. His short dark beard and mustache twitch slightly as his smile grows when he looks down at his date.

"Looks to be a lively bunch tonight, doesn't it my dear."

I smile up at him lovingly, and nod. Yes it does.

 

That's okay, I've got Anakin Skywalker safe right here with me.
