Awards The Summer 2006 Beyond the Saga Fanfic Awards Ceremony!

A large auditorium somewhere in the Inner Rim. Two Golden Yodas flank both sides of the standard theatre stage, still hidden from view by a red velvet curtain. The row lights as well as several crystal chandeliers cast a warm, welcoming glow on the room. The entire Rogue Squadron is deployed at strategic areas around the auditorium as security, and they look extremely miffed at this idea.

A black status display slowly lowers from the ceiling, and in glistening lights announces:

The curtains slowly pull apart to reveal the shadow of a woman standing in the center of the stage behind the microphone.

A spotlight flickers on the woman to reveal Luna_Nightshade, dressed in a soft black evening gown and a rather large, and obviously rented, diamond bracelet. Peeking from behind the edge of the velvet curtain, Layren is watching very carefully as Luna begins to speak.

?Ladies, Gentlemen, Gentle Beings, Droids, and all Other Honored Guests, welcome to the Beyond the Saga Summer 2006 Fanfic Awards Ceremony! My name is Luna, and I will be hosting tonight?s event.?

Luna hesitates and looks over at Layren, who barely nods. Luna continues.

?Tonight, the production studio that brought you this year?s most popular primetime show, Real Republic 63: Coruscant Nights, has kindly offered to create an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of these Awards for your entertainment. Cameras have been following myself and my team of volunteers all Awards season. Tonight we will get to see?? Luna looks down at her notecards??Beyond the Awards: Where a bunch of intrepid people are put together under the direction of a newbie to find out if they can run an Awards show without killing themselves first.?

Two massive viewscreens drop down from the sides of the auditorium. Luna grins sheepishly as she flips her notecard.

Walks in nervously in the creamy golden dress Eowyn wears at the end of the Return of the King. Looks for Darth Ishtars table and makes a beeline there, grabbing a calming chocolate chip cookie at the table and pouring a glass of Sparkling cider.
