    Stranger and stranger.

On a separate note, didn't the Supreme Court rule some years ago that secular humanism constituted a religion? I bet this Court will revoke that. It's a five-person Christofascist, gun-worshipping nuthouse.

The only religion that will have 'rights' is the official state sponsored religion of Make It Up As You Go Christianity.

That's what I meant. But that's only good for a conservative cishet male in that scenario. Not really for anyone else. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm called a gender traitor or something by the DeSantis crowd.

I spent entirely too much time arguing with these 'republic means no voting (democracy) by people I don't like' quackwads 20 years ago. They have the same concept of a republic as China and North Korea do.

And because the current RepubliQans' power is concentrated mostly in the SCOTUS and state legislatures they are attacking the right of the voters to choose their president or have judicial review of elections within their own state by riding this 'independent legislature' (dictatorship by legislature circumventing both the governor and the courts) fascist doctrine which this last video gets into a little bit.

He's somebody who should never have been appointed to this Court let alone have been a judge. Anyone who puts their own backward belief system above democracy is not wholesome company to begin with.

That relates to the Moore case where Republicans want to turn state legislatures into the sole arbiters of election law in a state and shut out the other branches from having any role.

Interesting news about the report on the leak, but no decision has been reached on whether or not the report will be made public. If it isn't, I hope somebody leaks it :p.

Makes sense, actually. Satire and parody publications have a very strong interest in advocating for and preserving the sanctity of the First Amendment, particularly the freedoms of speech and the press.

Okay, now that is legitimately funny. Using parody to argue in favor of parody. I love it.

Honestly, you should write something like that to the Court...anonymously. I'd read it up.

In my second novel, I depicted the Supreme Court as being a bunch of escorts working for the Trump dictatorship before Xyq overthrew them. But that's kind of the point. Things that occur on other planets are told very slowly...patiently...and more realistically. In contrast, I made everything as weird as hell on "Primitive Earth" in the legendarium just to make a point about how this universe's Earth was more extreme than even ours. I mean, nothing wrong with escorts in real life. They shouldn't be harmed. But if you think about it, the justices...the corrupt ones...are basically vassals for donors. And that was what I was going for. Of course, this is a dictatorship where Ivanka, Donald Trump Jr., and Matt Gaetz are a triumvirate of toxicity in the 2040s. It's really out there, but it makes one root for the alien gangsters who want to restore democracy to the U.S. The U.S. in the novels is portrayed as an embarrassment to the entire Jonakapyne Galaxy.

So, I'm tired of the embarrassment. Roebrts wants to limit voting rights, and many people will be furious with him over it. Yet he has no idea. So strange.

The only thing I enjoyed writing in my parody, if you will, was that Ivanka was so dangerous that she could crush Thanos. I modeled her skill set as a cross between Darth Zannah and Grievous, albeit 80 times more powerful than both.

I was afraid that was Moore v Harper. I look forward to being told by the Trump Court and the NCGA ***holes that there is no longer any point in voting in North Carolina.

Honestly, this won't make as much of a difference as people think. While it's a bad ruling to be sure, election officials can counter this by publicly advertising that ballots need to have dates clearly marked prior to mailing them back. The key to pushing back on this nonsense is education.

Listening to some of the arguments in National Pork Producers vs Ross, and I am astounded at the number of really terrible arguments and non-comparisons that Justices are making in order to defend keeping pigs in such a tiny space that they cannot turn around.

Let’s see, animal cruelty is now equal to:

    —requiring employees to get vaccinated
    —funding gender affirming surgery
    —hiring undocumented people

    And…wait for it…

    —running a closed-shop workplace

If (general) you want to eat pork, eat pork, but as that can happen without such inhumane practices, there is no defense.

I feel like the whole case misses the point because it should not be about interstate commerce, such practices on animals should be outlawed federally.

Google vs Gonzalez is scarier though as it is based on the absurd notion that “Big Tech is biased against conservatives”.
