Hello everyone. Likely unsurprising to most, the time has come to me to retire as mod. There are many reasons for this, but all are due to real life. I’ve had an amazing 9 years as mod of this community and I am rather sad to say goodbye. I feel like such a huge part of my life is closing. If I’m honest, I’ve been ready to move on for awhile. I just had a hard time saying goodbye. I came in to replace Commander-DWH and Luna_Nightshade just a year after the infamous Move. I got to work with NYCitygurl and of course, the amazing, talented people who put up with endless gifs, my jades: mavjade and Mira_Jade. JCF fanfic saw me through so much of my formative years, from my undergrad degree to my masters, to moving 800 kms months before a global pandemic. You fostered mu crazy inspiration to write. I hope to still pop around to interact. My muse is still active and I’m still writing, although in a totally new fandom. Hopefully I’ll still share here and perhaps bounce in on a challenge for some inspiration. Perhaps without the energy devoted to modding, I can write a bit more. This place is truly amazing. In a internet that is sometimes filled with vitriol and hate, there are pockets where you can find amazing, supportive friends who will foster new writers, be available for brainstorming, or just to tell daily-life stories to. Please, Mav, Mira and I inherited this amazing atmosphere and it should keep going. This is all because we have such great users. You guys are incredible. Feel free to reach out. I likely won’t get around to it for months, but I plan to pop in on occasion. Love you Bri

Thank you again for everything, Bri. (I too have said all this elsewhere, but don’t at all mind saying it again!) I’m certain that this place has the wonderful warm atmosphere it has largely because of the efforts of mods like you and Mav and Mira. I appreciate the way you’ve been there for us over the years and put up with all my questions and complaints in that silly PM thread of mine! You’ll be missed, but we understand you’re doing what you need to do to take care of yourself. Hang in there and come back and visit sometime; we’ll be thinking of you and keeping the social thread warm!
Thank you for all the years of work you've put into this place; it really means a lot to me that you all kept/keep this thingamajig running! Thanks for all the challenge running, comment checking, and general running around and Getting It All Done -- I appreciate it and hope that you enjoy your newfound free time! But also come back to visit early and often PLEEEEASE? You got me to read West Wing fanfic and if I ever even see that show it'll be because of you and Mav. And it just wouldn't be the same here at all without either of you, so I really hope that we'll still see both of you around!
