Despite my previous comment, the reason has more to do with the medium than SW in general. In movies it's tough to have more than one bad guy(s). Much easier in print.

That's part of why I so admire the Marvel movies. They successfully incorporate multple (i.e., more than ten) bad guy groups in it's totality. All the way from local (Black Panther) to the galactic (Infinity War).

However, the prequels don't just not show other bad guys. Rather, they have dialogue stating the Sith haven't been seen in "a millenium".

 

Proving that the Jedi Order has a one-track mind by that point. They were so narrowly focused on the Sith, they didn’t look elsewhere for potential threats.

There isn't mention in the films or the novelizations about Black Sun or anyone else.

Honestly, though, we are a bit biased in here. Just a bit. I wonder if @Adalia-Durron or @Mitth_Fisto would like to have a say.

 

Actually, Black Sun, I’m assuming you’re referring to the organization, was mentioned in the Legends EU in Shadows of the Empire. Since, Xizor was a prominent character in that book.

I'm referring specifically to the main canon. The movies and novelizations. I certainly know they were mentioned in the EU. But if you were to ask someone who's just familiar with the movies about the bad guys in SW, they would know the Sith and, really, that's it.

 

And we must not forget Bossk, Dengar, IG-88, 4-LOM, Boba Fett, Jango Fett, Zam Wesell, Aurra Sing, Tarkin, Piett, Krennic, and Jabba etc...
