At least here on the Easter Seaboard. With all the rain we had, I was afraid my classroom was going to flood again.

A little bit for the Party, and getting to feed

Lord, hmmm got to get used to that, Bernael

The party was in full swing, the food and drink was flowing, and the Sith were eating their fill. Both he and Helinith had worked to get to this point and it was worth the effort. He stood, on the balcony, gazing over at the false Jedi Temple. The other Sith enjoyed the feast but for him the true feeding would begin when the party moved to the Temple.

His mind roamed out, scanning the place and registering every living being that moved within its walls. He could sense the others preparing as well and a small smile crossed his face behind the mask he wore as a habit.

Stepping up to the railing of the balcony he put one hand on it and vaulted over, disappearing from sight as he did. Only the slight scuffing noise as he ‘surfed’ down the side of the Sith Temple betrayed his location, for now. It took only a few moments to reach the base and all traces of his movements disappeared as well.

Only a few minutes later at an open window of the false Temple a slight pressure change as he slipped inside betrayed his movements once again. But here he wasn’t hunting as an assassin, here he desired to cause the fear and terror to mount as he stalked them. He let the camouflage drop and raised his will, letting it fall over those wretches inside, ’Death has come for you...run little ones, Run’

Possibly late, but defiantly fashionably late!

After putting away the Mononoke Hime action figures from a fellow Sith that had helped her out of yet another bout of depression, (Lady) Lord Hekate finished pulling one of her nicer dress robes from the back of her closet. Her apartments as a Sith Lord compared differently to her quarters as an Underlord, and she wasn't just referring to the square footage and closet space. From up of the ceiling, her pet centaurantula, El Muerte, hissed and clicker her mandibles in approval. Mami looked lovely.

Looking up, Hekate asked, "Well, what do you think? Linen or cotton worsted? They both have their charms, but the hot weather's coming, and the linen has matching leggings...Linen it is." Hanging up the cotton worsted back in the closet, she pulled out linen dress. Perfect! Leaving out some fresh meat, she ordered the slaves to clean the carpeting and not to touch her lesson plans. Anybody so much as editing out the importance of disabilities as a source of strength would be struck down (so to speak) with the disability of her choosing and cast out into an ableist culture.

After putting on the dress, Hekate was debating throwing a jacket on over her dress. As fragile as it seemed, Sith party dresses were woven with steel coarseweave thread for maximum versitality. Leggings next, she was not going to ruin a pair of black tights chasing after Jedi all evening, although she did have the option of going bare legged. Nah!

All she needed were boots, stylish boots. No stilettos, how did you kill Jedi in those things anyway?

Done! Looking herself over in the full length mirror, Hekate was ready to go!

Grabbing her orange bladed light-dagger, she took the elevator down to the lobby and made her way towards the Main Hall. Flinging the door wide open, she activated her blade.

    Lord Manticore
    Sith Entertainment

Under his hood, the zabrak High Lord smirked, allowing himself a modicum of pleasure at the sight of the newly minted Lord Bernael, as he moved towards the burning Jedi Temple, ready to participate in the arranged entertainment for his ascension celebration. An eyebrow went up and his smirk widened suddenly, catching a glance of Lady Hekate, who was literally 'dressed to kill', her weapons already lit, like the bared fangs of a predatory creature.

    Excellent.

From where he sat, Manticore could sense a spike through the force. Some of the 'convicts' were already reacting to new stimulus, the news that the sith were coming. Fear and Anger were the two leading sensations pouring from their armed adversaries, even as they sought to secure themselves and regroup.

    Good.

Manticore had been selective when picking the worst of the lot for this event. Vicious underhanded criminals, homicidal psychopaths, amoral mercenaries, cruel force users, none fit to live among a 'peaceful' society. Predators in their own right, all condemned to die. Fighting for their 'freedom' seemed a more 'suitable' choice than clinical execution; however, the sentence was basically the same. Unless, of course, a participant truly felt differently and somehow managed to capitalize on the present opportunity. However, in Manticore's estimation, trash had to be put out and burned, no matter how 'glorious' it may have been in times past.

Still, one could always eke-out one last use out of an expired item.

As his fiery eyes observed all who attended the feast, Manticore absently took a sip from his cup of Lady Syren's Brew, and silently wondered who else would partake of the provided entertainment.

    Hmmm...

    EDIT:

Participants. Feel free to RP your encounter with any number of armed adversaries, or force user(s). Remember, these are hardened criminals who know they are going to be killed. They are either going to fight with all they have, or attempt to flee. You decide how they come by their ultimate fate.

The Jedi Temple was ablaze with light, and now it was time get down to business and defeat the scum. Activating the blade, she used the Force to drag a few wounded junkies strung out on adrenaline and glitterstim spice. Hardly an Angel of Death, that was best left to Messrs. Gaiman and whoever was running Vertigo Comics. Strutting down the cracked marble walkways, she sent bodies flying.

"Well boys, who wants to play?"

A shadow shivered in the corner of the room, then began to form into a body in a cloak that seemed to fade into the flickering light and shadows of the room. A body slumped to the floor, desiccated, as the shadow turned, firelight glinting off the solid black eyes behind the stark, featureless mask; featureless aside from the two proboscises that writhed out from a pair of openings in it.

A dark chuckle sounded, ”I believe those here are either too far gone in their delirium or too filled with fear and anger to answer you, Hekate.” a flat voice responded from the form. The head tilted to the side for a moment, another, lighter chuckle. ”But it is good to see you here, and your outfit, I approve. Shall we hunt?”

The shape turned and almost fully disappeared into the shadows, little flickers all that could be seen as it moved deeper into the Temple.

In the dim lighting, Hekate could just make out Bernael's from, half shrouded in the shadows. From far away, she could smell the burning fires and the cries from the fallen and dying. A vicious smirk crossed her face, "Yes, Lord Bernael. Let's hunt." Calming her fury and focusing her senses, she walked over to the precipice, overlooking a sheer drop of about 100 feet. Moving silently, she crept along the shadows and used Force Ilusion to hide her face behind a Mygeetan Death Mask.

Sticking the landing, she darted after something slinking in the shadows... and slit his throat. Hot blood flew against he porcelain face and she merely wiped it off with her arm. Such bloodshed meant nothing to the Sith.

Using a technique that a friend often used, Bernael scuttled along the ceiling, the sounds of his passage much like that of the spiders that were also scuttling around. A dark smile crossed his face as he watched Hekate work, she was certainly skilled, which almost drew a chuckle as it made him consider just how much the young knew of how their instructor was outside the creche.

He fed the fear, despair, and anger of those that remained, even as he fed upon those emotions. The living radiated as bright spots, the dying as fading ones. A thump sounded behind Lord Hekate as a prisoner that had thought he was sneaking up on her suddenly found a massive weight upon his back, his head wrenched around backward and found himself suddenly dying as his body collapsed to the floor, ridden down by a being that fed on his living essence as much as his flesh.

Bernael stood, a nod of respect to the blood splattered Lord before he drew his living kukri, the sense of one Anzati was multiplied to almost three. His black eyes crinkled in a smile as he twirled them in his grasp and then blurred, flashing down the hall, trails of blood from the bodies he slashed following the blades drinking of it. A dark, dry laugh followed him, the wails of fear multiplied as they moved deeper.

    Burning Jedi Temple

Waves of darkness whorled, ebbed and crested in waves. Soon, the two Sith Lords would be drawn to a 'strong point' near a burning hangar.

There were two lightsaber wielding 'darksiders' loosely commanding the effort. Four wanna-be-mandalorians were working to unlock a downed transport, their possible ticket to 'freedom'. There was a manned EWeb placed atop a pile of rubble. Six blaster wielding thugs hunched down behind makeshift barricades, while four vibro blade wielders served as look-out.

Breaching the ship's ramp to gain entrance was taking longer than it should. Time was ticking and the pressure was on, which was fraying nerves and consuming vapors of patience. The blaster wielding thugs heard someone scream as they were haplessly killed somewhere in the distance, yet too close for comfort, causing them to draw their weapons. The saber wielding darksiders did the same.

Shadows were dancing all around them, thanks to the burning pyres, and for a moment, all was silent, except for the ones trying to open the ship.

Something or someone was approaching....but who?

Despite the palpable fear and anger, this group had decided that nothing would keep them from escaping this hellish place. It was kill or be killed.

The deeper Hekate walked into the temple, the fiercer her enemies. Spurred on by the lashes of anguish and self hate, they fell about the beautiful Sith Lady, intent on defiling her. Hekate knew their whims, she could read souls; a useful skill she had acquired during the process of reincarnation. Missions not yet completed carried over to the next one, no matter what corporeal form the soul took. All that mattered was continuing the end goals of the Sith Empire, and if Hekate was lucky and died of old age, her name would be exalted for the future generations of future female Sith.

Left, right, up, down, clockwise, backwards, forwards- her lightsaber dagger flew in any direction as she engaged the men (and women?) who lunged at her from below the floors, secret wall panels. Not only did she use her dagger, she tapped into the Force to strangle, ignite, impale, eviscerate, implode, and boil her enemies by merely manipulating their life energy. She was a skilled Sith Alchemist after all.

The scent of the Force, someone with it running through their essence drew Bernael toward the hangar. He paused outside the entrance to it, sheathing his kukri, damping his own presence in the Force, and then disappearing from sight. He stepped out, knowing that those inside could not see him, doing a swift recon.

Crouching for a moment he leaped, flipping in the air before landing soundlessly behind the two saber wielding foes. Even as they faced the front of the hangar he stepped forward, close behind them, whispering ”Boo!!” As they jumped and spun he dropped his camouflage and a wave of energy radiated from him, omnidirectional. The ship the prisoners were trying to open skidded sideways, one landing leg collapsing. What it did to the two saber wielding foes...there were two sodden thumps as their bodies hit the inner wall of the hangar.

He spun, leaping swiftly as the E-web fired at him. A rope of black lightning flowed from his hand, slagging the crew served weapon before he landed on the two who had been working it. His talons flashed out, ripping through cloth and makeshift armor. His proboscises flashed out, taking one in the face as his hands reached for the head of the other, simply twisting it off.

The four armored ones fired at him, holes charring his robe, several finding their way through it which he ignored, even as his own dark blood dripped onto the hangar floor. He continued to ignore them as the two ‘darksiders’ regained their feet. ”Ahh a more filling snack…” his voice echoed from the walls of the hangar.

He sensed Hekate approaching and turned toward the four firing at him, absorbing bolts into his hand, ”Poor choice, boys, I would have just eaten you, she...well it won’t be pretty.” before he turned back to the Force users.

His fingers twitched and they both flew toward him. His hands blurred and black blades flashed, screams echoed as hands were removed and the moaning men dropped to their knees before him. ”Your friends insist on firing at me when it is doing them no good. You will replace what I’ve lost due to their idiocy.” his finger twitched again and both came off the floor, suspended in the air.

Another twitch of his fingers and their screams turned shrill as he simply drew their souls from their bodies, ripping them away, leaving technically living bodies hanging in the air before he smiled coldly and pressed them together, fusing their bodies into one bleeding monstrosity before letting the mess fall to the floor as he devoured their essences.

Hekate was rounding a corner when she heard frightening screams and floodlights from a freighter. That could only mean some of the prisoners had escaped and were trying to make a run for it. Hopefully, there would still be some life left she could shish-kabob out of them. That is, if Bernael didn't devour them all first.

It was here the ankles on her boots gave out, and she had to sit down and take them off. Oh well, she could always have the slaves refurbish them later. Running barefoot out to the open hangar bay, she observed Bernael finishing off the ex-escapees. She could take care of the ship! Slowing her breath, she reached out and caused the ship to combust. KABOOM!

As Hekate skidded into the hangar Bernael saw her reach out and he timed it, throwing up a Force barrier as the ship just vaporized. He skidded across the floor a couple steps as a couple of the bodies of the armored possible Mandalorians hit the shield, or rather pieces of them did.

He laughed, chill, fey, and ice cold. His sabers deactivated and floated back to his belt. A courtier’s bow followed, directed at Hekate, showmanship deserved the respect after all. Small lances of Power flowed from his fingers and every ship that had not been damaged in the explosion developed holes that would vent atmosphere as well as disabling engines. The next attempt, should it occur would be even more doomed to failure than this one had been.

Letting his senses quest out, ”I believe more of our ‘friends’ are in that direction and, possibly, trying to barricade themselves wherever they are, or that’s what their ‘scents’ are telling me.” he told her, pointing off toward a deeper section of the Temple. Glancing down, another chuckle formed, ”Black toenail polish or is that just the lighting?”

    Lord Manticore
    Sith Temple

The spectacle was...delectable, to say the least, in every possible way. The zabrak felt a powerful and sudden urge to join, but this once, the abattoir was for the honored and the invited sith. He would simply have to exercise the greatest level off restraint and sit this one out.

Manticore's fiery eyes remained fixed on the points of conflict, where both Darth Bernael and Darth Hekate took pleasure in their deeds, purging the faux Jedi Temple, as irony would have it. A fireball erupted where the transport provided to 'bait' an attempted escape exploded, thanks to Darth Hekate's lethal skills. Oh, it made him smile, if only for a moment.

Languidly, Manticore turned towards Darth Helinith and ventured to inquire: "My Lady, would you care for a spot of entertainment? I would suggest partaking at once. The treats provided are...limited, only while supplies last, I'm afraid."

A knowing respectful nod is offered, before the zabrak's fiery gaze return to the burning theatre and the unfolding events therein.

Hmmm, perhaps this could be made into an annual event. Interesting, though such could be brought for consideration in later discussions. Now was the time for much needed relaxation, in sithly fashion.

Hekate grinned, "It most certainly is nail polish, I had a slave give me a pedicure the other day. The shade's called Nightshade's Shadow." She was ready for finishing off the warriors. She only hoped they put up more of a fight. Then again, fighting against two Sith might be for a better showdown. She could sense them, hunkering down behind broken furniture and fallen ceiling panels.

    "Let's roll."

His hand reached up, a click, and his mask pulled free. It revealed his upward pointed eyes, the slits in his cheeks, and the toothy smile upon his face. ”It is a good color on you.” Clasping the mask to his belt he walked over to her, then looked toward where their foes were, ”Yes, let’s clear this place of those who don’t belong, here or elsewhere.” Another smile and he stepped past, small twists of smoke rising from where his cloak had been holed by the blaster fire.

OOC: ^ Were you just flirting with me???

All Hekate could do in that moment was blush like a tomato and her mind went blank. Had Bernael been flirting with her? Seriously? She didn't have time romance, she had enough going on in her life that she did not need a romantic partner...or did she? Shaking her head, she pulled herself together and gave chase to the fleeing enemy. Vengeance would be theirs!

    Darth Iudex
    Burning Jedi Temple

The Fallen Sith Lord had missed the initial gathering to his own disappointment. There had been a desire to officially congratulate the newest Lords to the Order, but by the time he had arrived, they, along with some others, had already begun their misadventures around the provided Jedi Temple. It was regrettable, but it happened.

"Just have catch them over there.." He had muttered to himself upon being told of his late arrival. He had quickly departed for the Temple, following behind the other Sith's wake of carnage.

The real party was already in full swing, if the shattered remnants of the Temple Doors were any indication. The tasteful splattering of blood helped, as did the unmistakable wails of suffering emanating from somewhere inside. An easy-going smile spread across his lips. The Sith inside were certainly taking their sweet time, so why should he rush? This was all for their own amusement after all. A time to let loose, have some fun for once.

"..." His fingers moved in a blur, undoing the countless straps and knots which bound the titanic mass of cortosis against his form. His gleaming armor crashed into the duracrete below without hesitation. It wasn't needed. Lightsabers hung lonely from his hips, their owner instead slipping a pair of spiked metal circlets over his fingers, a set of golden knuckle-dusters.

And then he ran, bounding up the steps of the Temple with uncharacteristic swiftness. The Hangar had been taken care of by the others, so he ignored it, sprinting past the blackened corridor towards the next closest cluster of non-Sith. The Force was awash in rage and terror as one by one, the provided 'toys' were snuffed from existence. But not all, Iudex would at least find his few to play with.

He skidded around a corner, almost tripping over a fresh corpse as he came to a stop, and laughed. Cackled, more accurately. For up ahead, a group of five humanoids had trapped themselves against a dead-end in the corridor. Or, perhaps, realizing their fate was already sealed, they had tried to set up an ambush for whomever hunted them? A makeshift barricade of furniture and loose concrete had been erected between the group and Iudex.

"Heh. Well, here I am!" He called out to the rabble before him. Iudex wore a content smile on his face as he stared the group down, curious to see which of them would fire first. But he sensed hesitation within their ranks. "A pity."

Iudex leaped forwards, covering the distance with great strides as the defenders finally began to open up, blanketing the hallway under a hail of blaster fire. The Falleen weaved to and fro between the bolts, his warm smile never faltering as he continued his reckless charge. It must have been maddening to watch. He barreled through the barricade without pause, scattering debris and body alike in his wake. Using his forward momentum to his full advantage, Iudex lashed out with a closed fist into the gut of the nearest humanoid.

An ear-tingling crrraaack echoed out from within upon impact, followed quickly behind with another as the Falleen spun around and delivered a high kick to his buddy's chin, wrenching his head backwards with a single blow. Both crumpled to the floor, like marionettes with their strings cut. Iudex grinned, slowly turning in a 180 to find the other three convicts already sprinting full force down the original hallway, presumably believing their comrades would stall Iudex enough for them to get away.

Darth Iudex laughed again, his mirth echoing down the hall after them. "But we're just getting started! Come on! I'll even let you strike first!" He waited for a moment with baited breath, to see if any of the three would take him up on his offer. Finding none of them doing so, Iudex began walking after them, not a hint of urgency in his step.

"Heh.. I should ditch the armor more often.. I've missed being a Bruiser.."

Deciding to leave Bernael behind for a little while (she still wasn't sure if he was done flirting with her), Hekate decided to try her luck some place else. There was a rattling sound coming from inside the ventilation shafts. Oh come on, that was a beginner move. Using the Force to move sewage from the pipes far below, she moved her hands and arms in a slow, circular motion guiding the toxic brew up, ever upward. The noxious stench hit Hekate's nose before long, and throwing her arms up in one swift movement, forced the liquid trash to inundate the ventilation shafts, drowning the damned fools. Through the vented slots, sewage-soaked human flesh slid through the air grates like beef through a meat grinders. Plop, plop, plop, plop! Quarter inch slabs of humanoid-flesh fell onto the floor in neat rectangular stacks, like prepackaged cold cuts ready for consumption. Yummy!

She thought she had sensed Iudex joining the fray and ran after him.

Helinith laughed at Lord Manticore's invitation, not mocking, rather the jovial sound of one who has just achieved a pleasant state of merriment from a touch of alcoholic consumption.

"Well I guess I've given Berneal enough of a head start." She briefly caught a dashing form of what might have been Ludex and yelled after him
    "Hey I said 80-20 split! 80-20!"

She shrugged and the black cloak fell from her shoulders, assassin's gear ready beneath, before a titanic force jump propelled her upward, to somewhere near the top of the temple. There were a few signitures dotted around, the lone wolves who had decided to 'go it alone' and stay alive and quiet long enough to remain undetected. A valid strategy prehaps, if their predator hadn't been a sith. Helinith loved the one on one hunt, it held an air of nostalgia for her, even now years after her time under the stewardship of Darth Vader...

She found her insertion point, a small skylight of frosted glass, and unscrewed the fixings silently. Suddenly she froze.
The sound of a tap running came from below. Sensing her chance, she through caution to the wind and jumped straight through the window.
Glass and sith rained down, her feet landing square in the back of a human male who looked around forty years old and who had been midway through washing his hands at a sink. His head had crashed into the very same sink as she landed on him and he was very, very dead.

    Disappointing.

Not satisfied with such a quick hunt, Helinith shook the glass from her hair and slinked off, looking for something more interesting.

The breaking sink and the shattering glass had attracted some unwanted attention, chiefly, from two large figures.
A large human slaver holding a heavy repeater blaster cannon and a trandoshan brandishing a bowcaster, likely taken from one of his Wookie victims.

Helinith couldn’t know they were fleeing Darth Bernael’s massacre. They were already calling him the ‘brain eater’. Their fear fueled their every action as they simply opened fire on the spot Helinith had just been. Fear poured from them in waves, as their actions were fueled by terror. Both slavers opened fire and swept the area in 360 degrees, mowing down anything that moved or looked suspicious to them.

Additionally, the trandoshan had a vibe sword strapped to his back, while the large human kept a bandoleer of throwing knives slung across his chest. They no longer knew which way they were going, which didn't matter, as long as it was away from it.

They continued to spend rounds and yelling as they did so, in hopes of mowing down whatever had moved in their vicinity.

At the moment, just spectating the misadventures of Iudex and Hekate. ;) @Silvertough & @Nehru_Amidala

Hekate had already seen the Trandoshan start to open fire, when she used the Force to form a shield around herself, useful but only a diversionary tactic. Taking a running leap, she jumped up onto a toppled over pillar, and moved the dagger into position. Barreling into the reptilian sleemo headfirst, she quickly separated the head from the body. How uncivilized.

Without missing a beat, she launched the bowcaster towards the Human, and it impaled his throat- the front part sticking a couple of inches out of the voice box. The body collapsed and exploded, sending blood and organs everywhere! Thankfully, nothing got on Hekate's dress. The repeating cannon was still firing, and Hekate used the Force to smash it with some debris.

"Why are you running?" Iudex exclaimed in bewilderment, walking back down the corridor the remaining convicts had fled down."How about this, if one of you manages to draw blood, I'll release you! Ay? How's that sound?" He sighed with a shake of his head. They just kept on running. How positively droll. Iudex could chase after them, but where was the fun in that?

A sudden explosion in a nearby room made the final decision for him. Three lowly humans with blaster pistols, or whoever was doing that. It was an easy choice. Whistling a merry tune, Iudex strolled on in, entering just Hekate finished off the last combatant. "Having fun there my Lady?" Iudex asked, inspecting the carnage with an appreciative eye.

"Not too many left, feels like. A couple street thugs or two maybe.." He said, placing his hands on his hips. "A Jedi or two could have been fun. You 'ave any luck?"

    IC Darth Bernael

Hekate had gone off on her own adventure, Bernael smiling slightly at her last glance at him, plenty of time for such to play out in the future. He’d sensed both Helinith and Iudex enter the fray and had decided he’d fed well, plus she was right, they did have an agreement. He slipped through blood streaked corridors, deeper to the core of the false Temple.

In it’s heart he smiled grimly as Iudex’s presence brought a thought to mind. He pulled a seat to the center of the space and sat, closing his eyes. And then released Hunger. He’d become even more eternally hungry since the first encounter with Snoke, dying and being reborn had only strengthened that. And so it slipped out, filling the Temple, wearing on the remaining ‘defenders’, drinking the life essences from the nearly departed as his companions cut them down.

He knew they could feel it as it roamed, but besides sapping the will of those that remained to face them it left them to his companions. He felt the flicker of thought, of it agreeing that potential discussions or time would be intriguing, as it came across Hekate, before it slipped away again, in search of more prey. When it encountered Iudex it pressed close, reminding him of the time on the Beta-class cruiser, a hollow laugh seemed to come from thin air around the Falleen, before it went on again.

At the center of the ‘web’ of Hunger, Bernael sat, drinking in the souls and whisps of will that Hunger drained from the structure, down to him. His eyes opened and if the void could glow it did, in his eyes, as he waited for the others.
