My last piece I did. I sketched it, colored it, then enhanced with some digital effects to make it look more painted.



The Gentle Sharptooth you see under my Tormentum name was how I signed it on another forum which is dedicated to Paleontology and dinos.

His name was Gnosasaur, based on Gnosis (knowledge), a villian in a RP with friends who’s intent was to use these stones to rule earth. Now that I think about it, that sounds like Thanos. XD
The Stones are actually meteors from space, not the gems seen in Thanos’ gauntlet.

Yesterday I was at my local department store, and as I was pushing my cart I saw out of my corner’s eye two lightsabers hidden amongst non-SW items.

I went to look at these sabers, and was elated to discover they were Darth Maul’s:



My journey down the dark side of fandom really began with The Phantom Menace. My friends and I became acolytes of Darth Maul, collecting every trading card, toy, and treasured symbol. The chalice, or holy grail was Darth Maul’s Electronic Lightsaber:



The first in my circle of friends to get it was dismayed that in a duel it snapped in half in the middle of hilt, just like in the film. Mine was a Rubie’s one that allowed the blades to go fully into the hilt, I didn’t get the electronic one till I found it at toy store that had old toys. Mine eventually also snapped in middle of the hilt, but the cords kept the thing together, and I had Lightsaber Nunchucks; which ironically became a thing with Asajj Ventress in SW Battlefront II DLC (Xbox, 2005).

When I saw Darth Maul’s lightsaber, it took me down memory lane. I of course bought it with birthday funds. I intend to take it to my local park where I train, and play Duel of Fates as I attempt to imitate Ray Parker’s epic moves.

 

Were you able to get it half off?

 

They said to get 50% I’d have to only take half of the saber, or both my legs. So I said nm, I’ll pay full price.

 

So it didn’t cost you an arm and a leg?

 

Haha no.. not this time. Although oddly enough my right arm has gone numb and I’ve lost feeling in my legs.

IRL All my neighbors growing up were LBGTQ, and we were good friends. I am straight, and like ladies in the romantic way, but I learned their powers of planning.
