Welcome back to the Ultimate Drabble Challenge! The first one was so nice that we've decided to do it twice! The rules are the same as last time but just in case you are new to the challenge, they are listed below.

A Drabble is an extremely short work of fiction with exactly one hundred words. The purpose of the drabble is to teach brevity and test author's ability to express interesting and meaningful ideas in an extremely confined space.

100 Drabbles in twenty weeks.

[color=darkred][b]THE RULES[/b][/color]

[color=darkred][b]1[/b] [/color]Each Monday we'll post 5 topics. You will have one week to write a drabble on each topic.

[color=darkred][b]2[/b] [/color]Latecomers are always welcome, but you must start at the beginning!

[color=darkred][b]3[/b] [/color]To keep things neat and tidy, please start your own Drabble thread in the era you are most likely to write them for. Post all five of each week's drabbles in a single post. We will create an index for our threads here in resource. Simply post a link to your thread in here when you first start it, so that I know where to find them.

[color=darkred][b]4[/b] [/color]You can write them all in one day or spread them out throughout the week, your choice. Just be certain to have all 5 drabbles for each given week in a single post.

[color=darkred][b]5[/b][/color] You can follow a thread through your drabbles. They can be canon characters, OCs, etc. You can use just one character, a different character a week, or a different one for each drabble.

You simply must remember one thing:

The 100 words does not include the title, just the story itself.

A Lifetime Together

 

Not sure you could post them here, but if you want to use them for another site, I don't see a problem with that. Just know that several of the prompts will be exclusively Star Wars in nature.

 

so each week our post is actually 500 words (since we have 5 topics) or is that 100 words divided into the 5 topics? (ie 20 words each topoic?)

 

500 words total. 100 words per prompt.

 

I have mine and it is my first try at them.

I rely on the counter in Word.

Earlybird drabbles

 

I've recently experimented with drabbles and found them to be a good laugh. I'm in.

 

A Thousand Different Ways is up. Every single one of the 100 drabbles will be an Alternate Universe.

 

As others have said, the hundred words does not include the title, which may be up to fifteen (though using it to extend the length of the drabble is considered cheating ).

SilSolo, my responses to the first challenge have been non-SW, which does mean that I've not been able to post them here. That's also why Zonoma didn't post a link at the top of the thread and why my posts saying I updated don't include a link (beyond the one in my sig), details about the drabbles, or requests that people check them out. So you can do it -- what fandom were you considering? -- but there's a cost.
