[color=teal][b]WHAT IS A DRABBLE?[/b][/color]

A Drabble is an extremely short work of fiction with exactly one hundred words. The purpose of the drabble is to teach brevity and test author's ability to express interesting and meaningful ideas in an extremely confined space.

100 Drabbles in twenty weeks.

[color=teal][b]THE RULES[/b][/color]

[color=teal][b]1[/b] [/color]Each Monday we'll post 5 topics. You will have one week to write a drabble on each topic.

[color=teal][b]2[/b] [/color]Latecomers are always welcome, but you must start at the beginning!

[color=teal][b]3[/b] [/color]To keep things neat and tidy, please start your own Drabble thread in the era you are most likely to write them for. Post all five of each week's drabbles in a single post. We will create an index for our threads here in resource. Simply post a link to your thread in here when you first start it, so that I know where to find them.

[color=teal][b]4[/b] [/color]You can write them all in one day or spread them out throughout the week, your choice. Just be certain to have all 5 drabbles for each given week in a single post.

[color=teal][b]5[/b][/color] You can follow a thread through your drabbles. They can be canon characters, OCs, etc. You can use just one character, a different character a week, or a different one for each drabble.

[color=teal][b]6[/b][/color] You must do all the drabbles listed, in the order they are listed.

Good morning and welcome to the fourth Ultimate Drabble Challenge!

As I'm sure you've heard already, this challenge is going to be open to Star Wars and Non-Star Wars fandoms alike. But for the moment I'm going to ask that you pick one fandom and stick to it (unless you want to do the challenge multiple times with multiple fandoms). I asked the mods last night about what to do if someone wanted to switch back and forth between SW and Non-SW drabbles, and preliminary response was that they would have to have multiple story threads. Since that could get confusing for everyone involved, for the moment I'm going to ask that you stick to only one fandom.

But now, what you've all been waiting for. This week's themes:

Ramblings of War

 

It's been awhile since I've written anything besides my character diary so this might give me a chance to jump start the muse. I'm doing mostly Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan and Dooku drabbles.

I've also started a LOST thread in the NSWFF section. If you have to the notion, check it out. This will truly be a challenge. LOST is still new to me a writer. Reviews are a welcome encouragement.

UDC4: Desert Island Drabbles

 

Like brodiew, I'm taking on the challenge of stretching my writing skills with something that isn't Star Wars. My drabbles will be about the recently ended TV show, Battlestar Galactica.

My first set revolve around Laura Roslin and take place during the mini-series. You can find them here.

 

Haven't done these in a while and thought I'd give them a try.
