Why would I want an S Video connection? Please enlighten me!

 

You want Scart, Sam boy, preferably RGB. Definitely get a multi-region player, and then you can get DVDs like T2: Ultimate Edition.

Once you've seen the Matrix, Mummy, Terminator, T2, Jurassic Park, X-men etc on DVD, you won't look back!

 

All new telly's have S video connection it is the best connection for digital source to unit...A scart ( even gold plated )can still give you ghosting..if you want a player that will be future proof...go for one with a S video

I say stick to vinyl and terrestrial TV

 

I have gold plated Scart (wasn't sure why I got it then but I do now!) and haven't seen any ghosting. Will have to try the RGB thing to see if I get my R1s to play properly...
