The Ultimate Drabble Challenge is back! The seventh annual UDC has begun, with twenty weeks and one hundred all-new challenge themes to get those drabbling juices flowing! THE RULES 1. A drabble is a piece of exactly one hundred words (not counting the title). 2. Each week for twenty weeks, I'll post a set of five themes. Participants will need to write one drabble for each theme (five per set, a hundred for the whole challenge). Creative use of the themes is encouraged. 3. Drabbles may be Star Wars or in other fandoms. Each drabble may be in any era and feature any characters. Participants can choose to follow one through the whole challenge or change on a week-to-week (or even drabble-to-drabble) basis. [Those who respond on the NSWFF board can even change fandoms.] However, all board rules still apply. 4. Each participant will need to create a single thread for the challenge responses, and each set's five drabbles must be together in a single post. Those posting Star Wars drabbles in multiple eras should choose the board likely to be appropriate for the largest number of drabbles and post them all there. 5. Participants may put a notice in this thread when they have posted a set. I will maintain an index of participants' threads (both in-progress and complete) here on the first page. 6. There is no Rule Six. 7. Those who start late or fall behind are still encouraged to participate, will still be indexed, and will still receive full credit for finishing (however long it takes). However, the sets must still be posted in order, from one to twenty. 8. Have I mentioned that a drabble is exactly one hundred words? Well, it is.
