    @Ghost

    Dollars to donuts says she was getting pressure to fire Mueller once Rosenstein is let go which is going to be happen now sooner then later. They will just go down the list to they find someone willing to do it. Might take awhile.

    @obi_kenobi_24

    Gowdy can see the absolute apocalypse that is about to engulf the GOP in Washington DC to say nothing of the Trump administration and anyone associated with it. He is running for the hills and not returning anytime soon if ever. Besides Trey actually said the Neunes memo did not effect the Mueller investigation in anyway shape or form which flies in the face of DJT who believes it vindicates him and should end the Mueller investigation. Instinct disqualification in the eyes of Trump.

    And General Kelly has his resignation letter ready to go apparently along with the fact that Trump is going nuclear on Hope Hicks and especially Raj Shah for how they handle the Porter situation because even showing one admission of accountability is too much for DJT because in his sick twisted world, that is a sign of weakness. Frankly I am shocked Raj even has a job at this point though I guess with Porter fired and Kelly ready to walk out you need to keep as many warm bodies as you can find. Oh and Mike Pence decided to finally talk and actually agreed with Raj so their Mr. Squeaky Clean Guy is back in trouble again with DJT.

    Again the second season of Celebrity Presidential Apprentice has gotten off to a slow start but it's about to heat up....big time!

    I like how some of that's true, but most is just based on reading headlines and not understanding parliamentary politics (something you've amply demonstrated in the UK thread, too, because being ignorant and assuming all things are basically American "in some way" is a proud national pasttime).

    EDIT: Also worth noting that with your masturbatory fawning over President Obama, you would absolutely be voting for that same PM you're criticising here because like Obama, he's a centre right liberal. Has killed less people from drone strikes and done more for public healthcare than Obama ever did, too. But, being as ignorant as the average American you don't know this and would probably fancy yourself a Labor voter, and that of course Mr Obama would be a Labor guy even though he's a complete liberal and liberals aren't left.

    Update. 5 Senior Officials to the Trump WH have resigned in the past forty eight hours:

    Rob Porter - Resigned
    Mike Kortan - Resigned
    David Laufman - Reisigned
    Rachel Brand (and her assistant now as well) - Resigned
    John Carroll - Resigned and moving to Drug Czar

    This coming on the heels of Ivanka trying to find a replacement for Kelly but striking out which IMHO will be the big shocker of this second season as she will pull a Chaney and pick herself to be the next Chief of Staff in the hopes of better ratings.

    Edit - The Friday Night Trump WH News Dump is complete. They just sent out a memo saying they cannot release the Democrat response to the Nuenes Memo at this time. Keep in mind it's ten pages long so it will take Kelly time to read it since he can only go one paragraph at a time before needing to explained what it means. Maybe that why Kelly still has a job. Trump likes how Kelly reads briefings for him as he lays in bed eating cheeseburgers.

    Edit: Make that six now.

    And Trump denies the release of the Democratic memo.

    Way to go, Don. You’ve just:

    1) Destroyed any bipartisan political capital signing the budget gave you

    2) Brought the Russia story back to the front page (and no, this won’t die over the weekend, sorry)

    3) Re-energized disillusioned Democrats who feel they got rolled on the budget, and will now be more willing to oppose you

    Here’s to hoping somebody leaks it. And soon.

    EDIT: He’s sent it back to the House Intelligence Committee for “changes”. I’ll bet anything he blocks it again. And again. Until it dies (which it won’t).

    @Vaderize03

    Again it was ten pages, way too long for Trump to read hence why he sent it back. He needs to be nine pages shorter and filled with "big beautiful pictures" before he can approve it.

    The question is who he reads it to him when it comes back? 6 senior officials in forty eight hours resign with more to come according to sources. KellyAnne Conway must be hiding underneath a desk right now.

    Maybe if they added more pictures than Trump could glance at the pretty colors for a bit? He doesn't even bother with the daily briefing often (no surprise), why should he read anything a Democrat wrote? I hope this goes badly for them, but with America's short attention span, its hard to tell. With the budget showdowns put off for a while, DACA and Medicaid are probably the next big fights.

    If the Democrat memo is ever released, I expect 90% of it to be blacked out, for "security reasons". Well, the next White House scandal will distract from it too (and its a matter of when, not if there's another one of course). Maybe if they keep sending it back for "corrections" they're hoping it'll blow over. Honestly, the Nunes memo was pretty stupid and if the Democratic memo was released then we could move on to something else... but Trump would rather just deny, deny and shift blame more than anything else rather than give any leeway to anyone ever.

    They might as well have Kushner replace Kelly as Chief of Staff, its not like he doesn't already have enough projects, oh wait. Actually, what has Kushner been up to recently? Since Trump blew up Middle East peace, haven't heard much about him and Ivanka (unless he's been on ski vacation again).

    @obi_kenobi_24

    And do you know why? Because the Republican HIC has so many leaks in it that they are now catching the eye of federal investigators. Even the woman who answers their phone is now under suspicion of leaking stuff. At this rate Nunes better get used to tight quarters since the pokey could be in his near future.

    So stupid to block the Democratic memo release. Someone has to leak it now.

    Even if it is leaked, Trump will just go on about treasonous traitorous leakers again and blame the Democrats and the media for leaking classified information. Then maybe the Republicans would hold more hearings about such a "major" information breach rather than Russian interference.

    Sessions is still around.

    And Ben Carson. Also Rick Perry is like the Gary Busey for this administration.

    Has there ever been an administration this incompetent in terms of organization? Serious question. I know there have been tense situations with rivalries and corrupt administrations with scandals but when was one so badly managed?

    I am willing to bet the early administrations had their share of scandals and corruption- but no 24 hour news cycle or twitter to keep it alive. In recent history, this is the worst. But I believe it was Harding's administration that was one of the most corrupt. Trump is definitely giving him a worthy challenge though.

    Yeah, a lot of administrations had all sorts of dirty laundry, so to speak. Trump's is airing it out for all the world to see.

    What's sort of extraordinary is that he is rivaling the graft in administrations that deliberately saw political appointments as sinecures to be exploited. While there are arguably some cases of that here (Pruitt, Price), for the most part they are just that terrible about picking people that their getting genuinely surprised by the terrible quality. They are doing by accident what other people had to work to achieve.
