Yeah, as gloriously stupid as the whole bet is, it is irritating that the focus isn't on the unfolding Saudi crisis.
Much like with Russia, Saudi Arabia appears to be a rare case where Trump is isolated by bipartisan opposition on an issue. Turkey's actions appear to be a power play in the murky Middle East politics.
And let's not forget, again, that the US doesn't have an official ambassador to Turkey or Saudi Arabia. (Kushner, obviously, is the de facto ambassador to the latter).

This is why I say no woman will ever win the Presidency unless it's Nikki Haley. Warren cannot win it, nor can Harris. Or Klobuchar, although I think she might have the best shot of the Democrats. I kinda think Tammy Duckworth might have a shot one day. I know she scares the crap out of Trump.

The two biggest questions I have regarding the back and forth with the President about Sen. Warren's indigenous ancestry are:

    1. When will Flint, MI get clean water?
    and
    2. When will there be a formal investigation into the allegations of a half billion dollars in tax fraud?

I don't really see how it's relevant if pro-life people do or do not adopt or foster children or donate to certain charities. I don't think it's hypocritical at all if they don't do this nor does it delegitimize their view.

Inherent in the pro-life position is a sense of entitlement to impose one’s private beliefs into the personal lives of total strangers and their families and doctors. So I definitely feel like if a pro-life person isn’t humble about the values they are demanding everyone adhere to by putting their money where their mouth is with respect to kids left behind, there is hypocrisy there.

But at the end of the day, it is the total arrogance of the pro-life position that disgusts me. The way that movement casts late-term abortion as happening because flighty women just decide they don’t want their babies after all is all I need to see to know that movement is inherently, at its very core, built on misogyny. Just talk to a single woman that got a late term abortion and one couldn’t possibly have that view. They clearly don’t seek out those stories because they don’t care about the reality. It’s just about proselytizing.

Sure, you can go the artsy-fartsy Putin route with the polonium-210 or the toxic nerve agent. Or you can send a hit team of 15 armed with a bone saw. Either way, Trump is enraptured. This is how real men deal with their enemies.

... Trump is comparing the Saudi ruler to Brett Kavanaugh. [face_plain]

He also clarified that his "rogue killers" comment came from a "feeling" he got from his conversation King Salman.

Well, both MBS and Kavanaugh claim to be pious and hate women. They'd be best buds.

Probably, but he’ll never admit it. He’ll just execute others for drinking it while he downs a cold one in private.

The king is a figurehead, so of course Trump is going to be reassured by a man in his 80s who probably doesn't know ****. The crown prince, Muhammad bin Salman, is the de facto leader of the country and is behind the recent arrests, executions, and apparent assassination.

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-tells-ap-hes-not-221553318.html

WASHINGTON (AP) — Facing the prospect of bruising electoral defeat in congressional elections, President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he won't accept the blame if his party loses control of the House in November, arguing his campaigning and endorsements have helped Republican candidates.
