I found this really interesting—it’s a quiz where you’re supposed to scan snapshots of actual social media accounts and determine whether they belong to Russian trolls or actual people. I consider myself a pretty sophisticated (and suspicious-minded) social media consumer, but I only got 6/8. Both the ones I missed were trolls that I guessed were legit.

Part of my particular problem may be that a lot of my IRL friends are exactly the kind of people that trolls imitate and steal content from. I mean ... relentless raging about “divisive” topics? That’s seriously 20% of the people I know, and if they’re Russian assets, the Russians pay poorly.

Anyway, even though the quiz isn’t perfect, I found it worthwhile to read about what red flags to look for in troll social media accounts.

Interesting quiz. Missed a couple of trolls (I'm getting at an age when I really should know better than to be placated by political orientation), and wrongly flagged a (correctly identified) conman for trolling.

dunno if was missed by Trump dropped aluminum tariffs against Canada because Canada threatened retaliatory tariffs, proving once again that Trump doesn't know how tariffs work.

 

I seriously doubt people have any genuine objections to the minor inconvenience of wearing a mask. No, it's because wearing a mask implies that Donald Trump is a failure of a president, and Trump supporters can't abide that.

Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson has been exposed to COVID. Quarantined and cancels appearance with Trump.

 

The thing that worries me is that I missed 2 trolls even after I read their feeds, looking to see if they were trolls. Which I don’t normally bother to do. Generally social media platforms let you see one post at a time. I don’t wanna have to chase down every crank’s profile to see if they’re some kind of Russian asset or whatever.

 

That is actually a break for Trump. Johnson is one of the most unpopular senators in Congress right now and if were wise should start packing his backs as he will be voted out of Congress in 2022 though I got a feeling he is going to suddenly announce his "retirement" next year.

And the markets are not happening Trump next the TikKok deal even though as both a parent and a educator, I am really not a fan of just like many other social media platforms. Apparently Trump should look and see that now he has endanger several American companies to retaliation from the Chinese government. His supporters will still call this 8d chess but to me it's his usual move...eating the checkers.

 

Im actually surprised the forced histerctomies on latino women news has not gotten that much traction. This is Nazi-type stuff.

She also could retired in 2013 and ensure her seat be part of the liberal wing. Nope. Her stubbornness and belief she was irreplaceable just perhaps just flush down anything she apparently "stood for". Going to be fun watching every member of Congress become a hypocrite in an instant though.

 

I think a cap should be placed on SC. 75 is the oldest you can be. I also agree with term limits. It’s not good to have people in thier 80s be in a lifetime position
