So it seems like you're kind of right that they are abandoning the fixed day, since the above characters are going to be on Batuu at different times. Unfortunately, it doesn't make sense because the story being told between the Galactic Cruiser experience and Rise of the Resistance ride (and to a smaller extent Hondo and Chewie) are telling the same fixed day event between TLJ & TROS. So if you go to Batuu and see Boba and Fennec you're supposed to ignore the stories being told entirely?

 

That's simply outrageous

 

I sort of assumed Star Wars land would eventually become a hodge poge of different Star Wars eras. Seems more precisely it’s becoming a mix of recent Star Wars content Disney wants to promote.

Carried over from the US Politics thread. Why does the Galaxy have such a culture of violence, exactly? The stun setting on blasters seems to come standard, is very effective, and seems to require much less accuracy than the lethal modalities. Similarly, there are ion cannons and mag pulse missiles rather than turbolasers and proton torpedoes. I haven't really found a setting where, in conventional modern combat, someone actually needs to use a lethal instrument. Yet that's pretty much all everyone ever does. What is happening here?

I still think the best option would have been theming each park for a different trilogy/era

It would encourage people to visit each park separately because the attraction would be different and fans would be able to go to a place that covers the time period they like best

Keeping the experience locked into the ST timeline just turned too many fans away

The cast of this show was never the issue, it was the writing & production standard
