Most probably already know but this has mixed feeling for me. Its to be done by the guy who done the first episodes so anything with Ham Tyler and Chris, red dust, Lydia (though never really liked her character) etc wont probably be mentioned. Jane Badler is supposedly signed up- wasnt she SOOOO sexy in those days. Marc Singer and Fay Grant I believe have signed up.

I have mixed feelings about it (as usual :p) but it seems to me be a sign that the creative idea's of present film/tv makers has dried up and they are regurgatating old idea's. There is even a chance they might REMAKE V- now please take that idea and shove it were the sun dont shine. Tacky the old series are but still special if you grew up with them. Thoughts?

    *Classic V moment-

Willy (talking about Elizabeth to Donovan): She has a pornographic memory.

    Elizabeth: You mean 'photographic', Willy.

I would like to see it. Hopefully, with the advances of technology, it won't have the cheesey feel V had back in the 80's.

I wonder if Donovan will still pull those silly poses- with jeans 4 sizes too small.

I'm sure with CGI, the jeans can be made to look 4 sizes too small.

I wonder if Robert Englund will be back in it with the constant dopey look on his face? :)

Ah, those jeans... every time I need a laugh I just look at V and those jeans... :p

I don't need a new version. I love the old one in all it's 80's glory and special effects... they're great! Ah, the great spaceships, the laser blasts... :D

    '......here mousey-mousey'

Seems the scifi community are really dragging their feet, there's plenty of source material that would make good new tv shows, there's little to no need to remake V, it was great, and yeah it could do with a spit & polish but so could most scifi we grew up watching. I mean, have any of you seen the new Battlestar Galactica? Yeah there's been 'controversial' gender swaps and cool low sound space combat. but the modern day computer fobia motif and (pretty much) future earth setting is unimaginative. The only really good thing is that the cylon centurians now look like robots rather than guys in suits- and even then, i'd rather watch the old stuff.
Why don't they ever remake stuff that needs it?

Well, I won't be watching it. Loved the original one too much to see it butchered now.

Though this isnt a remake, Yosh. A continuation. Though a disgusting idea of REMAKING V is being thrown about. That would make me angry- and they wouldnt like me when I'm angry!

    I curse alot! :p
