JCC things that are good these days

I have an inkling as to why.

 

So my mom now has her "Grand Pad" (tablet especially for 75+ with no tech familiarity) and it's going to be a slow process of her getting used to it, but...she's already received and sent her first emails and had her first video chat (which she really seemed to like)

 

I don't know if this is a good thing or not, but I'm in the process of setting up a meeting with a potential therapist. Calling them tomorrow.

 

Economy is slowly opening back up....whew...I guess we all got a vacation....more like house arrest

 

I finally wrote the magazine article I've been meaning to write for years.

 

Wife: "So they are going to open a drive in movie theater by us this week. Think we should take the kids one night?"
Me: "Nah.
Wife: "Should we go just then and make out like teenagers?"
Me: "Yes".

 

Me and my boys brought home a couple of cute chicks over the weekend.

Literally.

 

Oh and I taught my infant nephew how to milk a goat.

 

I got my absentee ballot today.

 

Rum & a combination of orange/strawberry/banana juice is a fine blend.

 

My state outsourced their unemployment help to another state employment source and I actually got through and talked to a real person who very quickly corrected the issue and told me I should finally get my money in less than a week.

 

Yep, there it is. Finally. That's a nice balance to have in my checking. And I have a 3 day weekend!

Cor, let us not mourn our dear departed, but focus on pissing off as many as possible.

 

I consume 2 meal replacement shakes per day via Huel. They sent me 2 chocolate bags and 2 unflavored bags. I ordered to berry, not unflavored. I sent them an email over it and they are sending me 2 bags of berry at no extra cost. 6 bags for the price of 4.

 

So this is kind of a bad news/good news situation.

Chris Carter’s Breakfast With The Beatles program on SiriusXM (there’s one he does for local FM radio out here in La La Land, but the SXM one is the version I listen to); aside from all the great tunes, he’s a ****ing terrific host: charming, witty & the right amount of radio self-awareness (i.e.: haming-it-up just nicely).

 

Watching an episode of Anthony Bourdain as he samples at El Bulli makes my lunch of soup and sammich with cookies taste better.

 

He’s not wrong.
