Wes came home Jaina?s Beebleberry ice cream to find Jaina sitting on the couch, crying.

?What?s wrong, Goddess??

?Dad knows I?m pregnant!? Jaina wailed.

?Mom told him I?m pregnant!?

?How should I know? She?s my mother!? Jaina wailed even more loudly.

?Mommy? What wrong?? a very concerned Aidan asked.

?Mommy?s feelings make her act funny while she?s pregnant.?

?Ice cream!? Aidan didn?t have a very long attention span.

?Aidan, that?s for Mommy.?

Aidan looked at his father with his big blue eyes and a pout on his face.

Wes sighed. ?Ask your mother.?

Aidan climbed up onto the couch next to his mother and gladly shared her ice cream.

?So did you tell your father anything??

?Not much. I mostly wanted to know what he knew, and then said we?d announce it tomorrow at dinner.?

Dinner was mostly quiet. Wes and Jaina agreed not to say anything until it drove her parents crazy enough to ask about the baby. They bribed Aidan with the promise of cookies before bedtime if he didn?t mention the new baby at dinner.

?So why are we so quiet? You?d think something horrible was about to happen. Like Jaina having another kid,? Jacen commented, completely unaware that his twin was pregnant.

Han spit out his drink in surprise at Jacen?s comment.

?Jacen!? Leia chastised.

?What??

Leia paused, unable to say why the comment was rude without giving it away that she knew Jaina was pregnant. ?It?s rude to imply that Jaina and Wes? children are horrible.?

?What horrible?? Aidan asked.

?It means bad,? Wes answered.

?I not bad.? Aidan pouted.

?Of course you?re not,? Leia assuaged.

?Baby not bad too!? Aidan exclaimed, already taking on the garb of an older brother.

?No, the baby?s not bad either,? Jaina said softly. ?As most of you already know, Wes and I area having another child.?

Happy laughter and chatter filled the table except, of course, for Jacen, who looked dumbfounded.

?I knew something bad was about to happen,? Jacen grumbled.

?Baby not bad!? Aidan yelled, right before he slung a spoonful of space carrots at his uncle which hit him right in the eye.

The rest of the table burst into an even harder laughter, even though they were trying not to laugh so that they would not encourage Aidan to continue to throw carrots at others.

?Right on, Kid!? Han beamed.

?That?s my boy!? Wes gloated.

?Han!?

?Mommy, I still get cookie?? Aidan asked while looking particularly angelic.
