Aidan became quiet then, but Jaina, being the good Jedi mother that she was, noticed it. ?Aidan, is there something you want to tell me??

Aidan handed his picture to his mother and reacted badly as he saw her tear up. ?You not like it!?

Aidan ran off to his room in sadness.

Jaina rolled her eyes and then continued to look at the picture that her son had drawn her. It showed a man and a woman and a small boy. The woman was holding a baby in her arms, and all of the people in the family were smiling. It was the family Jaina had always dreamed of, one that was normal and had no worries about except normal things like jobs, family, friends and so on. No Sith Lords, no Vong, no Empire? a perfect life.

Jaina was touched by the picture that her son had drawn, which had caused her to tear up, especially since her hormones were heightened by the pregnancy.

?Aidan,? Wes called out as he entered his son?s room.

?Go ?way!?

?Come on, Son, let?s talk about it.?

?No!?

?Why did you run away like that??

?Mommy not like my picture! She only likes the baby. Not me.? Aidan was crying.

?Women are emotional. They cry a lot. Especially when they?re pregnant. They also change moods a lot. That?s something you?ll have to learn as you get older. Women cry when they?re happy, made, angry, upset? Just about at anything.?

Yes, most of my readers have gotten past the... ickiness of the Jaina/Wes thing. I really don't even think about the age when I write, just the characters. (Maybe it's not so bad because Wes never ages in my mind.)

Aidan was in his mother and father?s room watching Wes rub cream on his mother?s swollen stomach as she read to him.

Aidan wasn?t paying attention to the story, though. He was making an observation about his mother.

Her belly button was poking outward. His belly button poked outward. She had a large stomach, and so did he. She was pregnant? and so was he.

?I have a baby too!? Aidan triumphantly cried out.

?What?? Wes and Jaina simultaneously asked.

When they realized that their son was serious, Wes tried to understand his son?s reasoning. ?What makes you think that you?re having a baby??

?Mommy has belly button out. Me too. Mommy has big tummy, me too. Mommy having baby, me too!? Aidan told his parents with certainty.

Jaina and Wes tried not to giggle at their son?s statement. They didn?t want to tell him that he was too young to have a baby or that boys couldn?t have babies. Instead, Wes decided to play along with it.

?Well then, you better sit back on some pillows like Mommy,? Wes told him as he fluffed up some pillows for Aidan to lean on.

?I get chocolate too?? Aidan asked hopefully. ?Mommy gets chocolate. Me too.?

?One piece only,? Jaina told him as she handed him a piece.

?Thank you, Mommy.?

?Wes, I think I?m craving Corellian food tonight.?
