Do y'all realize that in the entire United States, only Texas is allowed to fly its state flag as high as the U.S. flag? All other states must fly their flags at least 2 inches lower than the U.S. flag. When Texas joined the states (after being a nation) it was one of the demands Texas had.

NSW can brag their great grandparents were criminals, but England considered dumping tea a criminal act in those days.

As to former invaders, it's the housing construction quality that worries me. I swear even in so called "luxury" apartments the fit and finish is awful. Nary a true right angle to be seen.

Yep. Oddly enough the apartment complex that the main character lives in is the one my current roomate lived in a few years ago. We were chuckling at those scenes with his neighbor talking to him through the wall cause the walls really are almost that bad.
