    I don't quite understand this line:

    After Jar-Jar yells when he sees the monster as the power comes back on in the submarine, Obi-Wan says to him "You overdid it". What was he talking about exactly. Is it clear to everyone else or am I just stupid?

    Qui-Gon tells Jar Jar to relax and puts his hand on Jar Jar's shoulder, using the Force to calm him. Obi-Wan is saying Qui-Gon overdid the calming effect - notice how Jar Jar is disoriented and his eyes are having trouble focusing shortly afterward.
