    "Announced" is kind of a strong word if you look at the source. I'd imagine these talks were going on before Bowie passed away, because if anything that would drive the price up.

    Still not as tasteless as Joe Jackson announcing the birth of a record label merely one day following the death of a certain pop star.

    The Joe Jackson who is Michael Jackson's dad, or the Joe Jackson who made the songs "Steppin' Out" and "Breaking Us In Two"?

    Wake me up when it leaves development hell. Source says may be sequel, not reboot.

    If it does happen, Toby Froud for Goblin King.

    I can't reply with anything positive.

    Bowie = Jareth.

    Anything else is just ridiculous. LEAVE IT ALONE. If it is truly a sequel, well that's another thing, but please no reboots, It doesn't need to be rebooted.

    I vote sequel, not reboot. Soft reboots seem to be the rage, so maybe it'll be that. Just no more remakes please.

    I know Star Wars will eventually be remade/rebooted, but I think we'll be old by then. There may be a day when every top movie in a given year is a remake or soft reboot. We basically had that in 2015 with Mad Max, Jurassic World, TFA and Creed.

    "Reboot" implies an intention to start a series. Superman Returns was a remake sequel. The media should know by now reboot carries a worse connotation than remake now, or maybe its target audience likes the word.
    Thanks to the new trilogy and the nods to the first movie, The Force Awakens has ensured there won't be a remake of Star Wars, thankfully, until fifty years from now when everyone is able to make a full-fledged movie on a handheld device that looks better than anything 200 million dollars can make now (but with no story and as completely incomprehensible as the average Facebook post).

    That was in my article too. I still think it's in poor taste, and I am calm.

    It's still in poor taste to announce it so soon after Bowie's death.

    Reboots, remakes, makeovers whatever you want to call them just need to stop. Surely there are new novels, original screenplays, up and coming movie makers with ideas that Hollywood can latch on to without having to resort to this horrible cannibalism? Remaking Point Break and Willy Wonka was just criminal.

    We do not yet know if this speculated movie is a reboot, remake, or makeover. Or if it's even a thing, a Labyrinth sequel has been in development hell for over a decade, and this article and its viral reposts could well just be clickbait based on that ancient information.

    Obviously this board needs a bigger max font size.
