Saga Three Degrees of Separation to R2-D2

I was thinking the other day about the "smallness" of the GFFA in particular how everyone involved in any galactic conflict has met at some time or another. To illustrate this point, I can't think of any character who is 3 or more degrees of separation from R2-D2. Sure, this is a tough one considering he has been involved in every galacatic struggle since shortly before the clone wars. I also remember hearing at one time that the old trilogy was originally meant to have been told through the perspective of the droids (not sure how true this rumor is). Regardless, R2 pretty much knows everyone. 1st degree is someone that R2 knows (if R2 was in the same scene with someone - he knows them: photosensors and all that.) 2nd degree would be someone that R2 didn't meet but someone he knew met. For example, Qi'ra from Solo. R2 knows Han; Han knows Qi'ra. So using canonical sources only, how many people can we come up with that are three or more degrees of separation form R2-D2?

 

Gotta say that I completely agree with you. Artoo has been my favorite for a long time!

 

Does K-2SO know anyone that knows R2?

 

The shortest distance I can think of is K2 - Jyn Erso - Saw Gerrera - Obi-Wan - R2

 

How about K2 - Jyn/Cassian - Bail - R2

Is K2 in the briefing scene where Bail shows up? If so, even closer.

 

has Aphra encountered R2? If not, Tolvan counts. I don't think Tolvan is acquainted with Vader.
