failure
capture
betrayal

morning chores
interrupted
a cry sounded

building
a relationship

truth

Great and so true No going back, after these pivotal life-altering decisions/events.

Superb. Definitely things Luke would be feeling: both the resolve and the wanting to return to the village, but then deciding firmly to continue.

 

Perfect showing Luke and his doubts and also guided by that feeling

These are really amazing! I love how each one follows the pattern of the others somewhat, so that there's a kind of cyclical effect. And each poem captures a little balance point of some sort -- they're the drawing of breaths before the sprint, the in-between places even when surrounded by/interwoven with some very big events.
