    Tim Kirwin you are.

Jedi master Celeste Timmis was smiling when she felt the commercial liner settling down at the spaceport. She was in the restaurant of the liner, busy with her nerf-steak.

She was coming back from a mission to the core planet Denisaron to get a drug-trafficking ring behind bars after being sent there by her superior Bret Craddock, Master of the Jedi-intelligence department. She was still in her garish carnival outfit provided by Jeki Eki, a Jedi master working in the technical area of that department and admired the craftwork. It was that of a trickster. A temporary dragon tattoo had been painted on her left arm and a matching sea-serpent on the right arm. Her lightsaber had been hidden in a flowing skirt with beads and tassels. Her intel-department comlink was disguised as a bright shining pendant. The pink dress had been revealing, showing her as a lady worthy to deal with the important bosses. It had her in contact with the gang when she came to the restarant in Deno city and met her intended target, a lieutenant.

'Boss Gamiano and his lieutenant and enforcers, they were no match for me when the revelation came who I really was and could turn them over to the authorities. That was the easy part with that lieutenant Cariso falling in love with me but what came next was quite different.'

She looked around and began to laugh, remembering the restaurant where her mission had begun and ended with the arrest of the Gamiano gang. A drink before she had to leave to return to the spaceport for her flight back to Coruscant on a commercial liner had her at the bar. The restaurant became quite crowded when the carnival procession ended before the entrance. A brass-band came in followed by the carnival king and his queen and his followers. It was soon crowded to maximum capacity for the next part of the carnival festival for the citizens following the belief of Denara and the rebirth of his son Deno. Finishing her drink she had seen adult citizens guzzling on orange juice, blue ale and red wine, stuffing their mouths with flatbread, nerf and sheep meat sprinkled with honey and thyme and roasted on a campfire, vegetables, seasoned with herbs, fruits and whatever to eat until the daylight began to fade, announcing the time of fasting. Their children were indulging in chocolate-milk, sweet bread and going to the adults to ask for treats to be placed in their baskets, adorned with tassels and decorations of Denara and his son Deno. Only a small uprising of beings not following that belief and coming to the restaurant caused a disturbance until law enforcement came to guide them to a different restaurant. She could leave that restaurant after showing her id-card to the law enforcement officer and even heard him explaining more about the Denara religion. The fasting of the Denara followers would be followed by the transhumance of their flocks of nerfs and sheep to the hills and some farming work to harvest the next crop of hay to feed the animals during the long winter.

A smile. Seeing the lieutenant of Boss Gamiano in that same restaurant.
A remembrance. The wildflowers about to bloom in the fields when she travelled with her airspeeder to the estate of Boss Gamiano, with that lieutenant next to her. He clearly enjoying the warmth of the romance that was blooming between them. She had seen the seed ceremony when she met Boss Gamiano on his farm in the rural part surrounding Deno city. The boss had allowed her to plant a seed in the mud before he ordered her to follow his large airspeeder back to the restaurant where she had met his intended buyer for the drugs. With the lieutenant next to her and piloting her airspeeder she had made the intended contact with the law-enforcement by touching her comlink twice. They were ready when she came with the Gamiano gang to the buyer of the drugs. It became the ending of his drug-trafficking.

She munched on a tasty piece of nerf-meat seasoned with honey and herbs and cooked to perfection. A smile. It had been the last piece.

Boarding the liner she had to explain because of her carnival outfit that she was not following the rules of the Denara religion. And that had her with a luxurious meal, presented in the restaurant of the liner.

    A blinking light bulb.

'This is your captain speaking. Thanks for flying United Space Marvino. We hope to see you back. Deboarding now.'

She had seen the blinking light bulb announcing the message. She looked up from her meal where only the bone of the nerf-steak was left. “This was perfect. You can give my compliments to the kitchen. And thank you for your service.” she said to the waitress and gave her a credit. She put down her napkin and headed to the hold to get her airspeeder provided by Jeki Eki. The airspeeder was a match to her outfit and had served to get her into contact with the bosses, aiding her in the seducing of the lieutenant and getting into Boss Gamiano's inner circle. She activated the engine and went down the ramp and into the traffic to get her back to the Jedi-temple.

Passing the Kirwinna building, one of the lower buildings in the Jedi-temple district, she was alerted by the Force. She could avoid a tumbling airspeeder being rammed by a droid-deliverer and saw it getting down. 'Living beings!' She followed the wreck crashing on the top of the building and hopped out to get help. Waiting or alerting the emergency forces was no option.

“Help me, help my wife.” The man behind the controls managed to utter with weak fading voice.

“I can get you out and transport both of you to a hospital.” Celeste had her lightsaber out and began to cut through the roof of the airspeeder.

Some use of the Force, supporting the man and woman with all her powers she managed to get both in the back-seat of her airspeeder.

She sensed the urgency, felt the fading life-signs of the man and woman and that of a third being. The woman was pregnant.

She toggled her com. “Jedi master Celeste Timmis returning with a medical emergency to the Jedi-temple. Get the healers to the hangar. I am coming in and giving assistance to a severely injured woman and man.”

Jeki Eki. Give me the controls.”

“Will do.” Celeste knew what Jeki Eki could do with the airspeeder designed by him. She saw the blinking light indicating that the Dorophin Jedi had taken the controls and turned to the back-seat and put her hands on the woman's head to give her strength. The trauma had the woman going into labour.

Only five minutes passed with the airspeeder going at high speed, piloted by Jeki Eki. She felt the airspeeder touching down lightly in the hangar and gave a relieved smile when she saw who was there to help her.

Master Yoda and his uncanny sense to know what was happening was standing next to healer surgeon Buck Aybindy, known in the entire healers' ward as Nines because he always used nine sutures to close a wound, and an older nurse with a gurney.

“She is into labour.” Celeste was still holding her hands on the head of the woman. She felt Master Yoda lifting the woman on the gurney.

And then it happened. Lifesigns fading to nothing the clothes of the man dropped on the backseat. The man was gone.

“Use of the Force?” Celeste had never seen this and shook her head.

“Corellian Jedi known to do that at life ending. Strong in the Force both are.” Master Yoda was supporting the woman. “Hurry you have to. Save the baby. Supporting him I am. Mother fading she is.”

Nines, dressed in surgeons greens and blue synthrubber gloves, ordered “Your lightsaber Celeste. We cannot save the mother but the baby is alive. Renny have your scissors, clamp and bacta-patch ready.”

Nurse Renny Kentaro reached into the medkit on the gurney and nodded once.

Celeste made a careful cut, first to the clothes and another one through the belly.

Nines was ready to get the baby in his gloved hands when he felt the mother going leaving only her clothes.

Renny used her clamp, scissors and bacta-patch.

A cry. The baby turned pink in the hands of the healer.

“Saved.” Renny gave a jubilant cry and took a cloth from the gurney.

Nines Aybindy was smiling, taking the soft cloth from his nurse and wrapping the crying boy into it. Showing him to Celeste and master Yoda and hunching down.

“Alive he is.” Master Yoda placed his right hand on the cloth guiding it towards the head of the baby. Saw the eyes open and looking directly into his yellow eyes. “Found him you did where?”

“On the Kirwinna-building.” Celeste didn't know what to make of that.

“Name you get young boy. Tim Kirwin it is. Dewback clan his new home is. Strong in the Force he is.”

“Renny,” Nines turned to his nurse. “We will take the baby to the healers' ward to examine him. “Maybe the clothes of his parents will reveal more.”

The nurse deposited the clothes of the man on the gurney and guided that to an elevator, following Nines with the still crying baby.

“Quite alive he is.” Master Yoda had a smile on his face.

“You can say that. Naming him after me and that building.” Celeste was smiling. “I think he will become a spy like me.”

“Spy hmm.” Master Yoda left the hangar tip tapping with his gimerstick.

“A new spy? I can see that you have returned our JE98-airspeeder in perfect condition.”

“Jeki Eki. Is this the way to come to us?” Celeste was laughing only now seeing the dark spot in the hangar, blending with the walls and coming forward. “Your dress and the apirspeeder were perfect for my mission. I will accompany you to the office of Bret Craddock for the debrief after changing into my usual clothes, left at your office.”

“Eager to hear about that.” Jeki Eki had inspected his JE98-airspeeder and left with Celeste.

    - - -

Caf was in the healers' ward the topic of attention for Nines Aybindy and master Ann-Jinai, the big blue Ossan healer. They were sitting in the restaurant of the healers' ward near a window overlooking the indoor garden.

Nines was adding honey to his caf. “I have placed the baby in the care-unit after giving him a thorough examination. His file is now in the archives of the pediatric department and a copy is sent to the Corellian healer Randy Bel Wandal because he as a Corellian Jedi likes to examine medical records of people disappearing when they become one with the Force. And Tim Kirwin's parents did. In the clothes I found ID-cards with names only. They were Jen Ere-Shai and Faya Idrees.”

“Common names in my opinion.” Ann-Jinai took an orange from the table in his blue hand and began to peel it. “And what did Master Yoda say?”

“He named the baby Tim Kirwin stating that Timmis found him on the Kirwinna building. And a remark of Celeste that he could become a spy had Master Yoda smiling.”

“A spy?” Healer Niany came in. “Master Craddock has a copy of our medical file because it was Master Timmis who saved the baby. I have to tell you more about him. I went to the baby care room because I heard someone crying. It was Tim and I took him out of the care-unit to see what's wrong. The kid is allergic to bacta. I removed the patch and saw a big rash and treated that. I have made a note in his personal file. No bacta-treatment allowed. When I left the room Tim began to cry again.”

“He must be missing his parents.” Nines said. “He became silent when I was examining him, looking with his brown eyes filling with sorrow and tears. I hugged him and felt him becoming comfortable. Renny made milk for him. I fed him and he was sleeping when I installed him in the care-unit.”

“Come with me.” Healer Niany said. “Maybe you can make the difference.”

“After finishing this.” Nines began to sip from his caf.

    - - -

Bushy eyebrows under short spiky grey hair were crawling upwards when the door opened. Jedi Master Bret Craddock – the master of the entire Jedi intelligence department – grinned when Jedi master Celeste Timmis came into his office with Jeki Eki. He had just finished reading the medical file from healer Niany from the healers' pediatric ward. “Jodi, they are here.” He turned a young looking human teenager with curly brown hair and eyes of the same colour sitting at his desk and fiddling with a piece of equipment. Jodi Bovarin was his padawan and was studying to become a spy.

Ker Zomorian, a man with a crew-cut of black hair and hazel eyes was busy with the caf-machine.

“And did it work?” Jodi was the first to see Celeste in her outfit.

“Of course, no problems at all.” Celeste sat down on one of the chairs. “My outfit was perfect and even matching the clothes worn by those Denara believers during their festival. Yes I arrived during the carnival festival and had to be in their restaurant to meet my intended target, a certain lieutenant Cariso. He first saw me as one of them but my seductive power had him going soft and romantic and wanting me to accompany him to the estate of Boss Gamiano. My airspeeder was just perfect. He could pilot it with no problem after I programmed the navcomp. He had quite an exhilarating ride with me and even asked where he could get one. I gave him our contact and that was it. Coming back with him and his boss and enforcers to the restaurant ended their drug-trafficking business and had me dealing with those followers of Denara and their counter-parts.”

“Caf for all?” Ker came with a tray with cups and placed that on the desk.

“I wasn't finished.” Celeste said. “Returning to Coruscant and taking JE98 into the air to go to the hangar it happened. I was able to take two people involved in a crash with a delivery-droid to the temple. The father was gone and the mother stayed there just long enough for Master Yoda, Nines Aybindy and me to save the baby.”

    Ker asked “they disappeared?”

“Yes.” Jeki Eki replied. “Just like we have known from Corellian Jedi. Only the clothes were left behind. They are now with the baby in the healers' ward for Nines to examine.”

“And maybe the baby will become a spy.” Celeste said. “Master Yoda named him Tim Kirwin.”

“Tim Kirwin. I like that name.” Ker had a dreamy look when he began to sip from his cup with caf.

Tim is in the next viggie, being discussed by Bret Craddock and Ker Zomorian
    It is:

    Spies

Bingo words Ceremony, mud, bulb, pink, daylight
Characters: Bret Craddock, 70 and Ker Zomorian, 40

Bret Craddock, the master of the intelligence department of the Jeditemple was in his office going through the records and messages of his Jedi-knights, all spies like him. A new one was on his reader.

Jodi Bovarin, his former padawan, began telling about the ceremony he had performed.

    Bret began to smile.

“You see Bret. I have Nin Sonnie, a eleven year old human male from the Thranta clan as my padawan. I hurried to the basement. I took the mud covered kid from the obstacle running course in our basement after he had shown his skills in the lightsaber tournament against Tim Kirwin and could outrun him and two other older initiates. I told him that I was taking him as my padawan and that had him eagerly nodding yes and hugging my trousers. 11, a teenager and still a kid but I see great potential in him. I took him to my apartment where he had a healthy pink skin after I had put him under the shower and provided him with his new clothes showing that he was a padawan. Next came the braiding ceremony.”

Bret hit pause on the reader and went to get a cup of caf from the caf-machine. 'Caf black.'

He took it back to his desk and reached for the saber-dart thrower acting now as his sugar dispenser and added sugar. 'Jodi coming back from a mission and giving me this' he thought and hit play again.

“I got him to sit before the mirror with another standing at my back and getting those mulitple images from the both of us when the bulb in the ceiling announced its death with a horrible shriek. Daylight was fading and we had to search for a new bulb in the darkness of our room. Nin found one and we could begin anew. I took that box, given by you, and took out my braid. I cut a piece of it and fused it to his hair. And began to cut the rest of his hair in the short padawan style. I still remember your struggle with my black curls and...”

Bret hit pause again when the door to his office opened. He saw the big smile on the face of Ker Zomorian and asked “Ker, what brings you to my office?”

“Nines has this file for you.”

Bret began to read the medical file, ended it and indicated Ker to sit down before his desk. “I was reading the message from Jodi when you came in. He is twelve years younger than you and he has taken Nin Sonnie as his padawan after seeing his fight against Tim Kirwin and...”

“Before you go further.” Ker began to smile. “I have asked Tim Kirwin yesterday to become my padawan. He agreed and I had the braiding ceremony with him this morning after getting his stuff from the Dewback clan. I am fully recovered from that ordeal that began on Hamalk and ended with us watching the destruction of Kreyfon. The Jek-hound teeth marks are now only scars. That's all in the message from Nines. Tim is now following lessons after Nin Sonnie came to get him. You should have seen the smiles on those faces.”

    “Figures. Both are now padawans.”

“And both will become spies like us.”

“With spies as master I expect nothing else. I will finish my reading later. Time to get something from Serinka.” Bret sipped from his caf.

“Good idea. Siraberrie pies from Serinka are the best.”

“And hot chocolate to accompany it.” Caf finished Bret put down his empty cup and followed Ker Zomorian.

Wow! Just finished enjoying 'Tim Kirwin You Are' and I gotta say, to get around the entire Spring Bingo board so quickly, and with such a brilliant tale to boot, is beyond impressive! Loved the scene you set in the restaurant, describing all the pre-fasting food and adding a little social tension when the non-believers came in (great little detail). Quite the high-risk mission for Master Timmis, though! But I'm glad it put her in the right place, and at the right time, to help the baby who would be named Tim Kirwin. Having his parents fade to the Force added a welcome note of hope to such tragic circumstances. Oh, and final note; I love the nickname 'Nines' and its origin!

Also really enjoyed 'Spies' and the way you followed up with Tim's future! Will there be more tales of his life as a Jedi spy?

I just re-read these two stories and I am just. in. awe. at how you managed to write the first one, with all the prompt words, so incredibly fast – and you used the lot in a really clever way for your worldbuilding on Denisaron! I really liked Celeste and her nefarious schemes as a spy, but what I thought was awesome was the way she managed to rescue a not-quite-newborn just like that, on her way home :p You really gave us the sense that, for these Jedi spies, it's all in a day's work; even seeing Corellian Jedi vanish into the Force isn't the strangest thing she saw on that day.

And Tim! It almost feels like his life was written out for him on the fateful day he lost his parents. First Yoda named him, then he said he might become a spy... and he's well on his way to doing that! Will we be seeing more of him as he grows up?
