    As I said in the last thread about this -- the ship is small and outdated, and a replica is kitsch. There's only one true ocean liner in the world, and that's Queen Mary 2.

    I never understood the appeal of cruises anyway, so yeah, I'll pass.

    Actually no, I'm not a fan of cruises. It's got nothing to do with the danger of sinking in the middle of the ocean and everything to do with being stuck on a ship with an outbreak. It's happened far too often the past decade or so.

    Yeah - quite a few norovirus stories connected with cruises recently. Wouldn't be my first choice.

    Maybe it's paranoia; but it's the possibility of an outbreak that has me reluctant to consider any cruise; no matter how much a friend or family member recommends it. And I know friends who would swear by them.
