Speculation Title Suggestions for Episodes VIII and IX

    Episode 8: The Dark Side Rises
    Episode 9: The Light Side of the Force

    Not that I'd like them to be called this, but considering current title-trends in Hollywood I don't see them as unlikely.
    Well, OK, The Light Side of the Force could be a good title I suppose. The other one not so much :p

    I would love to post on this, speculating my title guesses. But without knowing almost ANYTHING on what Ep. 7 is about, I just...cant...:(


    I know, great contribution to this thread, right? Kind of like if a teacher asks a class at the end of the period if there's any questions and someone raises their hand, just to respond "No." ...

    I'd bet against "Triumph of..." anything. It sounds too much like Triumph of the Will.

    (For those of you who didn't pay attention in history class, that was an infamous Nazi propaganda film.)

    Fair enough I suppose, but I didn't even think of that (though, I'm more used to that being called Triumph des Willens (original title) or Viljans Triumf (Swedish title)).

    Couldn't have been as bad as the new X-Files episode titles that started and ended with "My Struggle". Hopefully, no-one will translate those episode titles to German ...

    If they did they would have to make a Knights of the Old Republic film series. Revan must be recanonized!

    Me too! "Rise of the Droids", "Rise of the First Order" or "Rise of the Pirates", maybe?
    ...or "Rise of the Resistance"...

    Judging by the pre-TFA title of EpVII - "Shadow of the Empire" - it seems like little to no effort will be made to avoid repeating key words.
    IOW, "Empire", "Jedi", "Force", "Clones", "Revenge" or even "Hope" may reappear in one of these titles.

    I do hope that some effort goes into avoiding that, though.
    However, with "The Force Awakens", they may have painted themselves into a corner, considering that EpIX might just end up as "Balance of the Force".
