... that this song always makes me smile.

    "Another Postcard"

You can't imagine so many monkeys in the daily mail
All of them coming anonymously so they leave no trail
I never thought I'd have an admirer from overseas
But someone is sending me stationary filled with chimpanzees.

Some chimps in swimsuits, some chimps are swinging from a vine
Some chimps in jackboots, some chimps that wish they could be mine.
Starsky and Hutch chimps, a chimp who's sitting on the can
A pair of Dutch chimps who send their love from Amsterdam.

    [CHORUS (x2):]
    Another postcard with chimpanzees
And every one is addressed to me.

If I had to guess, I'd say the monkey-sender thinks it's great
He's sending me, maybe she's sending me just to see me get irate
I'm losing sleep - and it's gonna be keeping me up all night
I thought it was funny, but now I've got money on a monkey fight.

Some chimps in hard hats, chimps a-working on a chain gang
Some chimps who love cats, burning rubber in a Mustang
A birthday-wishing chimp, a chimp in black like a goth
A goin' fishin' chimp, a British chimp in the bath.

    [CHORUS (x2)]

Somehow they followed me even though I packed and moved my home
No matter what, they come and they come they won't leave me alone
Another monkey in the mail could make me lose my mind
But look at me shuffling through the stack until I finally find

    Some chimps in swimsuits
    Some chimps in Jackboots
    Some chimps in hard hats
    Some chimps who love cats
I've got some shaved chimps; that's chimps devoid of any hair
I've got depraved chimps dressed up in women's underwear.

    Another postcard with chimpanzees
And every one is addressed to me.
Every one is, every one is, every one is addressed to me.
Every one is, every one is, every one is addressed to me.

    [CHORUS (x4)]

Some chimps in swimsuits, Some chimps in Jackboots
Some chimps in hard hats, Some chimps who love cats
I've got some shaved chimps; that's chimps devoid of any hair
I've got depraved chimps dressed up in women's underwear.
Starsky and Hutch chimps, a chimp who's sitting on the can
A pair of Dutch chimps who send their love from Amsterdam.
Some chimps in Mustangs, Some chimps in chain gangs
I got a birthday wishin' chimp and I got the goin' fishin' chimp

...why 225 is an interstate since it doesnt leave the metro area, let alone the state. All I knew the law that was passed to start the interstate system was named "Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1956". I knew it was set up mostly for a national defense network as well as cars and commerce. What I didnt know was there is a section of the law that would designate roads near military bases as an interstates if they met certain requiments.

So, thanks to Buckley 225 is an interstate. I think intercounty works better. LOL

... that it is not a good idea to allow someone who is habitually late to bring items needed to get the turkey in the oven, no matter how much they want to. Have them bring something not needed till the last minute.

My mom insisted on bringing the stuffing for the turkey, and the turkey bag. I cannot get the turkey cooking till after she gets here, and she's now... 2 hrs late and counting. *sigh*

I took an aptitude/interest test today at the behest of my advisor...listen to this, "Your highest score was on Science, which means that you enjoy working with abstract ideas, scientific equipment, and mathematical logic and reasoning to solve practical or abstract problems. You also scored highly on Assertive, indicating that you prefer working situations in which it is appropriate to assert authority over others and to direct and monitor their work. " I need to find a career involving science where I get to tell people what to do?

..."your infrequency score is higher than normal, indicating that you answered some questions in an unusual manner." I am inconsistent? *sigh*

..."Your high score on the Industrial Art scale means that you enjoy making or repairing things using machinery, or by hand. This includes activities like graphic design, illustration, creative advertising and marketing, sculpture, painting, among others. " I do like working with my hands...and doing repetitive things... but I am in no way interested in gd, illustration, creative advertising, marketing or sculpture..I paint for pleasure, but am not very good at it. Wth?

Maybe I need a more powerful test. [face_thinking]

sounds sinful. I bought my stepdad a 20 dollar bottle of real maple syrup for christmas. [face_love]

When he was a little boy they actually tapped the trees and made it themselves. His eldest brother was horribly burned by boiling sap. Its a nasty story that his father tells every christmas.
