    She did much better.

    I don't know whether to be happy or hurt. Happy cause she did better or hurt that she didn't listen to my prophesy.

    I have to quit the predictions business, sell the family business and become a hot dog vendor. What a world..what a world.

    Excuse me, while I go cry in a corner. :(

    Edit:

    And to rub it in even moreso, somehow an icq ad popped up stating this:

    I'm doing better now. What would make me even happier is if more people show up to the gathering on the 27th!

    It's a really great opportunity to meet the people you'll be lining up with, or to see if you do want to line up (how could you not?)

    C'mon...we've got a bucket with nothing it in...you can be as cool as Ken...

    I will try to be there on the 27th even though I will be unable to attend the line regularily. I'll try to pop by though everyonce and a while.

    Anyone who is going to the meeting on the 27th and wants the Phantom Edit, bring a blank VHS tape, or 2 blank cd-rs (SVCD) or 1 blank cdr (wmv, video quality is not as high)and your addresses so I can mail them back. (a prepaid envelope would be nice too LOL :)

    Sorry to hear you may not be able to line up (you could stop by and hang out for abit -- that's pretty much what lining up is all about.) but glad to hear you'll be able to make it to the meet n' greet.

    Any word on where we`ll be hitting for a place to eat?

    At this rate, we won`t have enough room in the food court!

    :)

    I know this great place that has a excellent buffet of chinese food and assorted items including this kick axe roast beef.

    Of course we could also just go for some mondo hot wings and beer...

    Well, we're after two things for a place to go eat.

    The first is 'cheap'. $5-$10 is about the price range we're after. With a lot of students in the group who are still some weeks away from their summer employment, and with a bunch of us breaking the bank to go to Celebration, we'll want to spend as little as we can for munchies this time out.

    The second is 'walking distance'. With this sized crowd, we may not have enough vehicles to squeeze everyone into. So if we can keep to a ten-fifteen minute walk, all the better.

    Right now the only place we have that fits the bill is the Pizza Pizza across the road. We're going to make an inquiry as to whether the party room there is free this Saturday. But Chinese would be good - whereabouts is this place and what kind of damage would it do to our pocket books?

    Actually I think I mentioned it to Tracy and yourself last time when I dragged you folks to Italy...

    *L*

    You`ve heard of the Mandarin?

    Great place. But I forgot about your Celebration investment, and its a tad more pricey.

    I like your idea about the Pizza Hut party room though.

    Is the Firkin classified as a bar or a restaurant? We don't want to shut out anyone who is under 19. Otherwise I've no problems myself with the Firkin.

    Unfortunately its a bar.

    Fortunately, if I`m not mistaken as long as we`re gone by 9pm, I think the younger compliment can still attend.

    There is another problem though;

    Firkin`s fill with freaken franchisers fully on Saturdays...

    Yoda;

    "Crowded they are...yes, yes..."

    Incorrect sadly.

    This past summer the Municipal government changed bylaws which had shockwaves across the GTA forcing Bars to pick bar or restaurant status, the difference is whether they'll be allowed smoking.
    And most bars (especially those key to the Irish community) went with the bar status thus shutting out those under 19. I should know as far as the police and the bar tender was concerned for half the summer I was 19.
    See, it pays to be of a drinking community. You get the laws down right.

    Indeed, I've heard of the smoking laws.

    Correct me if I'm wrong though; Dosen't that apply only to bars not taverns?...

    Taverns count, if they've chosen restaurant status we can go there, if they chose bar status well. *shrugs*
