Toronto TPM Annoucement

TPM will have it's TV premiere in Canada showing on CTV on April 29th.

 

ugh.

Just had a scary thought. With the premiere being CTV and all.... what if Dan Duran and Carla are hosting it?

At first I wanted to agree with you, but then I thought about how annoying jar-jar is and I wanted to disagree with you. Now I think that whether jar-jar or Carla is more detestible is highly debatable.

Jar-Jar served more of a purpose in one short scene in TPM (um...pick one...the farting eopie scene) than the evil *C* did in all its lifetime.

The dreaded 'C' served as a valuable public service warning against the overusage of product placement. Pepsi anyone?

On the other hand, Mr. Binks served as an important reminder of overextended merchandising. Tongue candy anyone?

And don't even hope for an American reprive. The CRTC's all itchy to block out American channels whenever they get the chance. Almost lost Futurama to Global's Popstars this week. Must have Canadian content at all costs. Even if content is merely commercials.

 

Hmm...I thought the dreaded 'C' served for a public service announcement warning against the overuse of makeup and crack cocaine during pregnancy... (okay, that was too cruel...)
