    FRINGE

Airs on FOX, Tuesdays at 8:00pm. We have a thread for other shows -- figured I'd add this one as well.

It's almost a cross between the X-Files, and Lost. Produced by J.J. Abrams.

    Plot from IMDB:

"A television drama centered around a female FBI agent who is forced to work with an institutionalized scientist in order to rationalize a brewing storm of unexplained phenomena."

I missed the first few episodes, but all it took was 1 episode last night to get me hooked. The institutionalized doctor that she works with is a great tip of the hat to the overall theme on insanity in Lovecraft's writings, too. The doctor guy is awesome.

There's only been two episodes so far. Its good, though the plot can get a little hair-brained at times. It's no different than X-Files or Star Trek as far as that though, I suppose. The characters are good, the setups are good. The endings are good! Its good. ;)

I agree, I think its been good so far. I usually don't like creepy shows like this, but Joshua Jackson is so adorable that I can't help but watch it. I think if I concentrate on how cute he is, I'll not get nightmares.

I like it. Especially with the concepts of some of the pseudo-science. A machine that can view the last thing a person saw? Cool.

I am going to give this a shot tonight. :)

How many episodes have there been so far...2?

I started watching the xfiles during season one episode 3 (Squeeze) and I was immediately hooked. Seems fate-ish.

    Yup, two episodes.

I think that you could jump in and it wouldn't be that big of a problem. This show doesn't appear to be as tightly stuck together as LOST is.

It might take you a bit to figure out how some of the characters are related to each other, but with a thread like this you can ask q's to get caught up.

Watched the first one.... Not sure how I feel about it yet, it didn't grab me like Heroes or BSG. Like those shows I don't even want to pause the TV to go pee, this one I could get up in the middle of it & wash dishes and not really care what happened.

No real connection between any of the characters, no funny lines.....

    I will watch the 2nd & 3rd one tonight & see what I think?????

Well, it was interesting. I can't say I felt it grabbed me the way other shows have. I did like the crazy doctor guy. Took me ten minutes to realize where I had seen him before.

I liked the whole conspiracy aspect of the show, and will plan on watching the first two episodes so that I am a little less confused.

I still have dancing with the stars to watch as well as Eureka & Knigh Rider tonight.

i am going to watch the third...just because i have it...ehhh it just isn't like, BSG or LOST or even True Blood, where you are hooked in 15 mins and you want more.

Granted i LOVE JJ Abrams...but yeah something is missing, can't put my finger on it.

though the dr. is funny...hey where IS he from?

    I dug last night's episode. It's "Lost" that I can't get into.

But...myeahhhh -- there's the problem with "Eureka" being on at the same time, but it's also on a couple hours later in the night. We might almost have to remotely consider finally getting a DVR, but I refuse to believe that TV is important enough to warrant one.

Not a king exactly...he was the steward of Gondor. Lord Denethor...Faramir and Boromir's father.

    This show deserves a medal.

A purple heart, to be precise.
