Twilight the Movie

For those of us who have slowly but surely fallen in love with the book series now have something to look forward too once Breaking Dawn comes out. If you do post a spoiler for the movie please cover it in black just in case there are people who haven't read the books yet or just want to be surprised and talk about the movie.

I'm excited for this. I love the series and I hope the film does it justice -- and judging from the energy, the talent and the creativity going into this project, I'm sure it will!

 

I read an article I don't remember which site it was on but the director actually went back and had the script completely re-written because they changed everything about it, with the FBI showing up and all this stuff. She said it didn't do the story itself justice so we have to re-write the whole thing. And everything I've watched and read so far has me very excited, for the whole thing.

I've seen both the sneak peek first scene and the trailer! I am excited!

 

I loved the sneak peak. It was extremely intense, and must have been a filming nightmare.

 

Was it just me or do the Vampires sound like -- well, rattle snakes when they move?
I'm serious.
While I was watching the sneak peek and Edward and James moved onto each other, I kept hearing this rattling sound. I watched the sneak peek a few times and I kept getting the feeling it's what the Vampires sound like when they move and use their "powers", I suppose.

Am I hearing things?

 

No, you're not hearing things, I hear it too. It does sound a little rattly, doesn't it? I don't mind. I think it works, strangely enough. Capturing the speed at which vampires move and the way they do things might be a little tricky to capture, so I think the sound helps with showing "this is super-vampire mode" as opposed to "this is normal vampire mode".

Does that make any sense?

 

It could be the floors of the ballet studio too...maybe. It's the only time I've noticed the sound, is when they are there.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. I'd thought the noise was because they were hissing at each other, you know, baring their teeth like some animals do when they fight. But I could be completely off-the-mark.

 

Penelope DVD to Include Twilight Theatrical Trailer

Video Business is reporting that Summit's forthcoming Penelope DVD will include an exclusive Twilight theatrical trailer!

Summit executives said they were experimenting with attaching exclusive theatrical trailers to their DVD releases for an added boost to future content. The supplier included a trailer for Dec. 12 theatrical vampire flick Twilight on the July 15 DVD for Penelope.


Bear in mind, this hasn't been confirmed by Summit, so don't take it as 100% accurate until we hear something official.

I'm so excited for this movie.

The Twilight Lexicon has posted a video interview with Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black). He's so adorable. Makes me proud to be Team Jacob.

 

Twilight Lexicon also has the Entertainment Weekly cover up where Edward looks...um...weird and Bella looks like her bosom should be heaving in a Harlequin romance novel.

I don't know but this is how I've always pictured Edward. At least the paleness and stuff. My only issue is Bella looks so tan. But you know I would to next to that Greek god.

I just posted a reply on the book thread about the movie...basically it said that Meyer wouldn't let Summit do anything wrong with her characters and from what I have seen and read, it won't be too far off from the book. Of course, that is only based on what they let us anxious fangirls know, so it might not be like that.
