un Américain vient en France

Bonjour!

Hi!

I am planning to visit France at the end of June, and would love to meet up with any members of the French Fan Force. I'm a member of the San Diego Fan Force. I will be visiting the Dijon area for a friend's wedding (in Chamblanc) on June 23, then will be traveling to Paris avec ma femme et un ami.

If any SW fans in either area (Dijon or Paris) would like to meet up or show us around, we'd really appreciate it. I can bring some star wars stuff from the US.

Most of us are in Paris or in the South (Toulouse, Montpellier)
Nobody in Dijon, I think.

When will you be in Paris ?

 

I'm one of the Southerners (Toulouse for now, but hopefully somewhere closer to the Riviera by the time you visit) so if you happen to change your plans and pop by, give a shout

 

We will be coming to Paris via the train on the 24th or 25th of June, and flying out on the 27th.

 

Have you booked an hotel in Paris ? Where ?

 

sorry i haven't checked in recently - we are staying at a hotel not far from the Gare de Lyon, but i can't remember the name of it. we will be leaving tomorrow for switzerland, so i will try to check in from there.

 

We can have a drink in the evening on Tuesday, 26th
I know a cool place not far from Gare de Lyon, where there is an English pub but also a Star Wars-comic book shop

 

sounds good - we are staying at the Verrest Petrus on 2, rue Perrot, north of Boulevard Diderot, north of Gare de Lyon. we will arrive on sunday night, but may not have much net access until then.

Brian, Whitney and I had a fun time hanging out for drinks at the Frog and dinner at the Hippopotamus - it was really great to meet up with fellow Star Wars fans while on our trip. Last night we arrived back in San Diego - if any of you ever plan on coming out to San Diego, either for visiting or going to Comic Con, let me know, and we can host you!

The picture quality makes our faces look quite distorted. I'm not sure it's us or some evil dopplegangers...

yeah.. we should have gotten a more sober photographer i think.. or at least one to take more than one photo...
