EDIT: I must confess I feel addicted to watching Alien, Prometheus, and Alien Covenant. I Intend to rewatch Covenant tonight.

Do you have a favourite film out of the franchise?

My favorite is undoubtly Alien. As a friend names Dags said, “its hypnotic,” I can watch it over and over. Time has not eroded the brillance of this masterpiece.

Alien Covenant is my runner up. It gets closer to Alien than I feel Aliens, and other sequels did. Though I love them all.

I actually am on a Alien and Predator forum too.

 

Aliens is my favourite.

James Cameron just ramps it up to 11, and of course the introduction of the rather scary Alien Queen.

All of them are good in thier own way.

And another synthetic on our mission, this should be interesting.....

 

Aliens undoubtedly is the greatest sequel, well next to Empire Strikes Back.

It added such lore, expanding on the mythos. That is what sequels should do, but now often fail to do.

Ah yes, another Synthetic. Prepare for circuits as slippery as a Chestbuster.

 

I'm playing a Weyland-Yutani corporate representative....

And you know what they are like....

My favorite film is the franchise is 'Aliens', I mean, the there are three iconic lines from the film that people I know till use today.

The first is, of course: 'Game over man!' Pure marketing genius.

"Then, put HER in charge!' I'm still laughing at this.

Let's not forget Ripley's colorful rebuke to the Alien Queen as she emerges driving the mechanical loader! Now that's a thrilling Mech battle if I ever saw one!!

Also, no one asked for this, but I'll put up my character sheet for conversational reference.

Gender: Male
Civilian Occupation: Research Analyst
Bio: Gabriel is a young and charismatic ‘Special Advisor’ assigned to the USCSS Serapis. His logistic skills and Intelligence make him a valued crewman, not to mention that his facility with technology is instrumental in the day-to-day operation of the vessel. He too desires for the mission to LV-827 to be a complete success. In addition to his technical aptitude, Gabriel often finds himself being a ‘cheerleader’ to others, which is helpful in any working environment.

We have such a great group of characters/players and I am really looking forward to what develops once the proverbial you know what hits the fan. It's started to already get there but the real juicy stuff is coming....

As far as the ALIEN franchise goes I enjoy them all for a variety of reasons. Ironically, though it wasn't as well received, I enjoyed Prometheus and Alien Covenant up there with the original Alien. Aliens of course is the epitome of a great sequel. Alien 3 is kind of so so but that's where I'm at.

Aliens is one of my favorite films on its own. It I can watch all day, never tiring of it. It does have iconic lines, and the entire film is seamless. Alien dwarfs it only for me in the foreboding, the mystery, suspense building, and terror. In Alien I feel like I am part of the crew of the Nostromo and that what I see, could be my fate, my mind comes alive with imaginings if I was on the Derelict or trapped in a hall with the Xeno.
Aliens has terror, but I think the fact it has pulse rifles, and someone we know will survive; Ellen Ripley, made it less terrifying. In Alien you didn’t know anyone was going fo survive.

Just my thoughts.

Just watched the movie Life (2017) with Ryan Reynolds. Its worth seeing, it feels like it could belong in the Xenoverse.

 

@Kato Sai go ahead and respond. Curious how two synthetics can cooperate with one another...or not.

@Jerjerrod-Lennox I knew Garcetti would run for it and it had me laughing the whole time. He's like, "Nope I'm outta here!"



Just so everyone knows I will be writing primarily from the perspective of the Xeno now that Torrence is incapacitated. For those of you interacting with Harrow and Walters I'll make sure to write for them as well .
