Rewatched Alien Covenant, and AVP: Requiem (Uncut Edition). I love Requiem, I an able to turn up the brightness and enjoy it. You’ll never likely see Xenomorphs running around our world again.

 

Never watched Requiem, watched the first AVP. Not as good as I thought it would be.

I prefer Prometheus to Covenant, I suppose Covenant though was where the Xenomorphs were really created.

 

Prometheus and Covenant are masterworks. I can watch them over and over. I like how Prometheus contains awe and wonder, and Covenant dread and horror. Michael Fassbender should have gotten a an oscar for playing David and Walter, he was able to play two different personalties and voices; even the looks in his eyes as David and Walter look like differenf persons/ actors!

My favs are Prometheus, Covenant, and Alien. I can watch them limitless times and never tire of them.

AVP Requiem has serious flaws, but it was ambitious. To feature The Predalien, The Yautja (Predator) homeworld, to show how Xenomorphs would infest a town in Colorado, and that it takes place right after AVP, making it a direct sequel.
It also crossed red lines, a child gets a Facehugger & chestbursted, a pregnant lady in maternity ward gets impregnated and her and her baby chestbursted. Requiem considered nothing sacred, and yet that is true to form, Xenomorphs do not have the honor of Yautja.

Gotta say the Backburster was so horrifying, I think it dwarfs the Chestburster in Alien.

 

Beautiful theme. And yes the back burster was pretty horrifying. Alien: Covenant was a really good film. Up there with Alien for me.

 

It is a shame Scott didn’t get to do the two more films he planned.

Just a thought whrn I read that update...

Would a Xeno kill a person with another Xeno in them? Just thinking that would be like killing one of your own....especially if Torrence was carrying potentially a Queen.

Although I am basically basing this on Alien 3 where a Xeno nearly killed Ripley and didn't because she was carrying a Queen.

Or did the Xeno think in that update "You're in the way, i'm gonna kill you anyway"

 

I had Ostro respond to that. Its intriguing. Why would a grown Xeno killed a host of a newborn? I am looking forward to the explanation with great interest.

Unfortunately, it seem she wasn't carrying a Queen....that, or the current Queen didn't want competition.

 

I am glad Doctor Torrence was spared the excruciating chestburster death. Really the Xenomorph gave her a mercy, mercy from being eaten from the inside out:

Good point Grey. The Ox/Dog Xenomorph of Alien 3 spared Ripley because it was a Queen she was carrying.

Just a friendly reminder I do think we might want to tone down certain graphic images only because I think the Mods could potentially catch on and start laying down the law. I've held back in the game from certain images for that reason. I don't mind, personally, but I don't make the rules either.

You know what told me children of newer generations will be desensitized to all this violence? I was in AVP Requiem and parents had like five year olds with them!
