Toronto 'unleashed' action figures...?

has anybody seen the "unleashed" series of figures anywhere? i've been looking everywhere for that maul one...dammit. no one has it.

it's not dripping, it's to show "light trail/residue" when a lightsaber is being spun or quickly waved.

The Jango picture is worse...he's not even holding his guns.

 

...BLOOD?!?! But a lightsaber should cauterize a wound! (Which brings up the eternal mystery of why Ponda Baba's arm spilled blood onto the floor of the Mos Eisley cantina when Ben chopped it off!)

How's this...it's just cheaply made because the dude in China didn't care about how the tips of the lightsaber blade looked. Better?

I'm quite aware of cauterization but since you said drip, I threw common sense out the window after my first explanation of the light residue affect.

 

Now is it really China? Or Taiwan??

To answer your question Satur9, the unleashed figures have not been released in
Canada as of yet. Jango & Maul are out in the US right and should be available out here in July. Of course places like Silver Snail will have US carded ones any day now.
Anakin and Vader will be released later in the summer.

Hey Kat, you also note that the arm of Ponda Baba is not the same as the one connected to his body in any previous shots (different hands!)

And they are releasing a new Ponda with a section of the bar - and the now common Magnetic limb!

*coughs* Ahem. Kat, I believe I may have an explanation. Due to the alien anatomy of Ponda it maybe possible that his body doesn't cauterize such as that of a human. hence why Luke's arm must've cauterized and he didn't gush blood while hanging from the bottom of cloud city for the few minutes he would've had.

 

It could also be that Lucas included the blood and the burnt remains of Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru to avoid a "G" rating on the film.

I'm pretty sure about that...though, I'm not certain. Not as fun a theory.

 

Ken, yup, I was going to bring that up too...but I decided to go esy on Bronf for a bit...sometimes a Mayor has to be a friend as well...

...and Duker...I don't buy that cauterizing explantion for a second...

 

I was at the Snail today and they had the new unleashed figures. I only saw Jango Fett and Darth Maul though.
Not sure if they had any Anakin left or if it just wasn't stocked yet.

I believe the price was $31.99.

A bit too pricey for this collector!

 

dang, I was hoping to get the Darth Maul at some point. Oh well, too much.

 

32 bucks? cripes. aren't they, like, 15 or 16 bucks american?

 

I also saw them at the Snail today, and I'd just like to point out that in the released figures, Maul's lightsaber is -NOT- dripping. The blades just go to a nice point and stop, even in the picture on the box. I guess we're not the only ones who thought that looked a little odd...

Maul and Jango are the first 2 coming out.
Anakin, Vader, and Padme will follow later
this summer. Remember folks they will be cheaper when they come out in retail stores
as tri logo cards but I must admit, If I lived close to the Silver Snail I would go and buy them right now !!!!
