Saga Unpopular Star Wars opinions!

Most of the Dark Horses comics of the 2000's aren't great or don't hold up because they suffer too much from what most 2000's comics suffered from....Overboard edglrodiness and things being EXTREME!

 

I want to see a remake of Luke vs Vader ROTJ duel and see Luke and Vader team up against Palpatine

The guys who did the remake of the ANH duel are doing one for ESB.

 

The one that had Vader punching Obi-Wan? I'm not much into fanedits or fanfilms, but that video was really awesome.

^ It's a remake, not a replacement. But yeah, the ESB duel seems like a strange choice, and a much harder thing to redo compared to the ANH duel, which was shorter and had a lot more room to add stuff in. Still interested in the idea though.

 

Last year, at a drive-in, I saw a double feature of "Black Panther" and TESB. In the former, the final battle between Black Panther and Killmonger was well-made, full of fast-paced action, and had good CGI effects. And, in terms of real drama, it was thoroughly overshadowed by the low-tech duel between Luke and Vader in TESB. It doesn't need any sort of upgrade.

 

It's a fan edit, not a declaration that the original was bad. Disney redid the Bespin duel with Galaxy of Adventures, and it was pretty cool, so if some fans want to do some changes and creative spins of their own, I say why not. It's not like a SE edit or anything.

 

One thing that would be REALLY cool (and really expensive) is a low-tech edit of the Saga. Make it a medieval/steampunk space fantasy with retractable metal swords, guns that shoot bullets and steam powered robots!

Resistance is underrated and is the best looking animated Star Wars show.

 

i think the design of it was brilliant but don't like the animation style.. just ok imo but my least fave Disney output

 

Darth Bane is GL Canon. As such, Bane's biopic sits at the top of the old Hierarchy of Canon Pyramid. Darth Bane sits at a higher tier of SW canon than animated Clone Wars, Rebels, and other Television-Canon.

TCW is Lucas canon.

 

Look for them to have Luke huffing and puffing and yelling, ala Rey in the ST. Not only that, but Luke's spin move will be taken out as the traditional fans love to believe there were no flashy moves in the OT duels.

Huh, that's funny. To me, it's the exact opposite

I don't know where I'd put Vader's Separatist slaughter on Mustafar, though. It's kind of in a class of its own, since it's part of the Birth of the Empire package and has personal dramatic significance for the Skywalker in question.
