Don't be worried, part of it is waiting for concrete proof from the star that they'll be there, so they don't have to later retract the announcement like they did for Zam, but most of it is they're just dragging their feet naming names because they feel it building up to something....I'm of the opinion you should start big early, but I'm not on the marketing payroll.

 

Oh, I'm going. I just wonder if Mark Hamill can attend a con in Vegas, he can attend one here. Especially since it's sponsored by Lucasfilm.

So far, the only people that interest me are the actors who played the villians.

 

Now the CIII site says that the breakfast is sold out, but to watch for another very special event announcement coming soon...dinner???

I was hoping they'd do a SW style cantina bar for the late night crowd.

 

Bet you a hundred bucks Hamill will be there (of course, that's what it'll cost for is autograph, but that's beside the point). How could he not be? This is going to be the money show, and everybody knows it. He's doing a show in L.A. this weekend, and he's signed at San Diego Comic-Con the last couple of years. Shows don't get any bigger than Celebration 3. My bet is that they chose to forgo Anthony Daniels' steep appearance fee to get Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher there. Just wait and see. I also predict Jake Lloyd will be there. He's been doing shows, and lives in Indianapolis.

His family was in San Diego for years (not sure now) as of Navy and he alwys went to Comic-con as a fan, long before Star Wars stuff and even then.

Ya think? Is he not good with fans? Does he have a bad reputation in the fan community? I've never been to a Con where he attended, so I don't know.

# of coupons could have something to do with the actor's appearance fee, though I'm not sure.

Since Bai Ling is going to be there, I may take my copy of "The Crow" & see if I can get that signed.

I don't know if they would get an appearance fee or if they would strickly get paid by the autograph plus travel and accomodations???

The actors may set the number of coupons (cost) of there autographs. They may hope to sign half the number of autographs and charge twice as much. This would reduce the amount of effort they have to put in but they may then be running the risk of being to expensive for some fans, thereby signing less and making less...Who knows. Too many options and too little info.
